Just a question about the pre-order. Can I do a pre-order, even though I'm in Europe? When will the card be delivered? And...any chance to get an estimated pricing? My 780Ti Kingpin was around 800€...

I found very interesting the single bracket feature! Will EVGA release a waterblock for this monster? I'm a bit afraid about a third part WB.. I'm still waiting for the regular Classified waterblock from EK...

Good Good Good! Now someone can sell me their old Kingpin for a good price for some saucy sli. Unless I can't resist the new one. Current kingpin is running 3x 1920 x 1080 and a 2560 x 1440 simultaneous gaming, probably ought to just run it a couple more years or until it dies. Dang temptress. Only reason I'm considering is for a little more ram.

this is my though as well. If its anything like the other 980 classified... those folks are still waiting. Now I wonder if the 980 classified and the kingpin will use the same block which is why the 980 classified is being delayed

Scarlet-Tech No, I won't participate in the rumor mill... I do know, the boss (K|ngp|n) himself said that the evbot is coming although unnecessary for the new cards... Wink Wink.
You started it anyway LOL
Nope, you are incorrect.
I can grab screen shots. That was only fact, NOT rumor mill. Fact isn't rumor.
Lol evga announced... Actuall i think jacob announced a new evbot in the works earlier last year.....just didnt give a release date. So scarlet is right. Also, i got flamed for wishing classified to classified step ups... :D EDIT : I still do believe in a classified to classified AND NOW an KPE to KPE step up should be awarded to those who are in the specific "elite card club"...but that is EVGA's decision to award their consumers if they wanted to.

The release of something like this probably just indicates the 980Ti / Titan 2 / whatever is coming shortly and everyone who pays top dollar for this card is going to get screwed. Also sounds like overclocking is still going to be gimped unless you shell out huge $$$ for the elusive evbot.

I've been wanting a new card and was going to make a purchase this weekend, but now that this card is coming out, I think I will wait. I like the fact that if you liquid cool (I do), that you can change the bracket to convert it to a Single-card slot. Really excited about the features of this card! Any rumors out there as to the cost of the card?

Sajin Nice card but i'm holding out till GM200/GM210.
Same Here, IMO, This 980 Classified K|ngp|n Version would have been awesome with the Full Blown Maxwell Chip.
yeah she is a sexy looking beast, hope they unlock its full potential and not take there normal path of power reduction, power saving and all the other garb included to reduce its full potential!!!

I dont know why you would want to "step-down" from a 980 KPE to a .....Vanilla/ACX 980ti if/when available. http://www.evga.com/support/stepup/There^ is the page for step-up.....but more clarification would be needed as far as a pre-order would go. I would imagine, once the product is shipped and invoiced. EDIT: Hah, just called Customer Support. He said, "step-up begins the date of the purchase/pre-order". So there is your answer.

Because 980 KPE is GM204... a low end chip. GM200/GM210 is a high end chip.

The point im trying to get across is, why spend $800+ on a limited card if you are going to toss it back.......if gm200/210 is even released in 90 days(May 2015)...

Is that not the entire purpose of the step up program? To protect people from getting stuck with a less powerful card when a more powerful one comes out a few months later?

Bingo!......That's the reason I'm going to wait for the GM200. I've already had purchased Three different EVGA 980 series Cards (4 X reference, 4 X SC and 4 X Classifieds) since October 2014 and since there wasn't much of a performance gain between those various cards on the Testing I have done using either Air or Water Cooling (I'm purposely NOT including LN2), I've reached a point where I'm tired of losing $$$ every month when a New 980 variation is released using the same GM204 low-end Chip and I have to take a Loss selling the old ones.

That was exactly why I decided to wait, but the K|ngp|n series are beautiful. I think I will be patient though
