Well I grown down the section(Bout .25ish of material) on my EK WB for my GTX 770. And it wasn't enough and there was a section next to it that wasn't making contact with the block so I'm going to get it machined. I have to remove 1mm of material to compensate for the hight of that vrm or whatever it is. I don't feel comfortable doing it myself. All I have is barrel sanders. I ordered some bits to make it easier but I'm not bothering with it. I'll keep you guys posted:)

I just bought two xspc water blocks for my evga gtx 770 classified 4gb vd cards not realizing they didn't fit  would really love to see a pic of what needs to be modded, has anyone that has modded tested it? and if so how much machining needs to be done?

Use the EK cooling configurator, you can find the right waterblock to fit about any GFX Card.

Ek and Xspc have both stated they have no future plans make water blocks for the GTX 770 4gb cards. Hence why we are asking for pics about modded blocks :p

i was doing some research on this as well and it seems like you can get a "universal" water block that only covers the GPU chip but not the VRAM or anything else on the board, and you'd have to cool that separately with heat sinks, other fans, jury rigging something, etc
very sad, it seems like there was originally an evga waterblock made specifically for this card all over the internet and then it disappeared
