I've been running my 680 for a long time now (I need to upgrade... I know. I will be soon). Anyways, I was facing an issue when playing Divinity Original Sin: Enhanced Edition. It was a dxgi_error_device_removed driectx error that was happening during a direct x call. I believe it was specifically CreateTexture2D. I dug around a bit and thought I'd go ahead    and update the 680's drivers to see if that would result in a simple fix.Well, I updated the drivers to the newest I could find (425.31) everything seemed fine for a bit, but then I started encountering consistent system crashes because of the GPU at random times. Now, my machine boots and successfully begins preforming a windows 10 startup, but during this startup, there is a hang, my card's fan speed kick into full usage, and the display launches into windows using the on board graphics. The card fans stay at what seems like the maximum rpm the entire time.I am now trying to roll back the 680's drivers to what they were, because it seems like this is happening when the 680's drivers are getting initialized from windows, but this is currently my only lead. Just posting here to see if anyone else might have some other ideas.

Did older drivers restore normal operation? The dxgi error could point to an unstable video card/unstable video card overclock.
