This is crap! They sold out in 2 minutes!??? So much for Newegg "Auto notify" Why even stock that little??
Can we not get some for warning for those who have lives and cant sit refreshing a newegg page all day?

They sold out of all SC models fast, bought 2 more SC's when I posted that last msg, maybe that was the last ones.
These cards are in crazy demand right now.

Had mine on auto notify since the 25th of nov. I don't know if they send those out in the order you chose to have them auto notify you but I was the first to let everyone know in the "in stock estimate" thread. Then it seemed everyone else hopped in.

Great people are buying 2 and I still cant get one. How did you guys know they were going to be available?

I just happened to be on the forum when someone said they were in stock and looked at the SC models buy webpages (main gtx 580 webpage showed them out of stock) but they were in stock on the buy webpages, so i got 4 SC blackops models and 2 regular SC models using 3 different newegg accounts because the limit was 2 for each customer account for the SC models. It pays to have multiple newegg accounts where they limit purchase amounts.
If I hadn't been on this forum I wouldn't have been able to buy them

I feel your frustration, but don't believe that line of thinking for a minute. They want you to have one in your machine right now, a customer waiting on supply can waiver, all the way to the competition. Believe me, they don't want you frustrated on supply and they're not laughing as they dangle a piece of cheese from a string above you. Hang in there bro, you'll get what you want and you may be able to have the last laugh at those who plunked down on these capitalized prices.

I signed up for auto notify with two different email accounts on the 25th as well. I still received zero notification. Buying 6??? You must be the guy that puts them on ebay for 675. I sure dont think they are all in your machine. But hey, my loss your more creative than I with your different accounts. I actually buy most of my e purchase of Amazon with the their free 2 day prime shipping and 4 dollar Overnights :)
 
I also like on amazon that you can buy now and when they get stock they ship it. I dont like that it says 1 to 2 months. My luck I'd pay and newegg would be rocking them tomorrow.
 
I agree in retrospect they do want one or 2 or even 3 in my machine. These things are flying off the shelf. I think are probably quite PO'd they didn't plan for enough. Biggest buying season of the year and the impending release of an ATI card. People might get fed up and grab an HD 6900. It looked like the ducks were in a row since the botched 480 release but it would seem here we go again.

Guessing the notifications had no chance to be sent before they ran out of stock?  Not sure how they handle notifications at Egg.  I will likely have to play the bleeing finger f5 refresh game to purchase some 580 hc2's even with auto notify enabled.  Good thing I can't get into trouble for it at work since I own the company :) .   Also doubles as a tax write off!

 
Nope i got my notification just as they came in. As i said in a previous post it all seems to depend how early you sign up for it. Bleeding finger is on the product page and this forum may be a safer bet if you aren't sure where you stand in the notification process.
