Hi,
 
i have the same issue after i update my windows 10 to RS3 build 
and nothing not helping when windows starts before i log in to windows my car up to 67c and GPU clock to 1600
i even not log in to windows
i tried to install and uninstall drivers and OCX(stand alone) manual control working good
 
how to update FW on the card?

If I understand you correctly you updated Windows 10 to the Windows 10 Fall Creator's Edition is that correct? By the way there is no firmware update for the video card that I am aware of.
 
It sounds to me there is a driver problem somewhere. Uninstall OCX first. Then see if the temperatures are OK. If not then uninstall the NVIDIA drivers via the control panel. Make sure in the control panel that anything that says "NVIDIA" and is associated with the video driver is uninstalled. Then reinstall the video drivers again.


amm windows 10 to RS3 build 16299.19 is public new win ver
and not Creator edition 
 
about the other thing i do it twice nothing 
 
i think something in the driver not working good with RS3 windows

I continuously had games freezing and the GPU was overheating, I noticed the fans were completely disabled out the box, PXOC solved the issue but im left wondering what damage this has done to the card?

None, the thermal cut off will save it 100 out of 100 times, now the card might only last 3 years instead of 3.5 year, but with rate of tech, worthless by then

I have this card, but I can't make the fans profile permanent, unless I keep XOC loaded. The frequencies, on the other hand, keep the ones I've set even with XOC unloaded.
What can I do to solve this?
I tried *partially* the firmware update procedure stated above, but my firmware is reported as being version 0x91, and the version to be installed is 0x8F, I'm not sure if my version is newer or not, so I did not proceed.

is there any custom settings for the fans ? the aggressive is bit noisy but the quiet is bit useless since the temp goes up during pretty hard pubg/ac odyessy
