I'm not using the steam version, it's downloading the installer from the website that keeps redirecting me to .10 Is the registry somehow being read by the website?

90F is very cool; the fans won't spin until the card reaches about 65C, which is about 150F. @steveweir: I found that some of the links on the Precision X page are broken. I will be e-mailing our web team to have this fixed.

Awesome, I found I had a copy of it in my downloads and when I installed it my problem went away. :)

Hi people, I seem to have opposite problem after the firmware upgrade to my 1080Ti FTW3 via PXOC, I believe it's the same fw upgrade mentioned in this thread earlier. I do run PXOC in tray all the time (it sets OC to my card) and use automatic fan control through it, but no matter what kind of fan control I select (Quiet vs Aggressive) my card now stays really loud no matter what I do. I figured the PXOC misreports the fan speeds to software controller somehow, e.g. the Power auto-fan control sets the slider really low (same as Memory), but Power actually runs at 4,300 rpm (can see it after clicking "P" in PXOC) while Memory fan runs at 1,200 rpm ... the actual GPU core fan sits at 980 rpm at that time, all temps are in 30-40C range, I checked fan curves and it doesn't make any sense to me at all. Using Slave vBIOS for obvious reasons. Is there any solution to this problem? EDIT: I am running a standalone PXOC. Also, an interesting observation, I just manually maxed out all fans to 100% and now PXOC reports their speeds respectively (gpu, power, memory) as 3,300ish; 4,300ish; 3,300ish - is that normal?

Not sure. Have you asked tech support?

yup, sent them a question regarding this just this evening. the best joke is that it suddenly went away on its after like 3-4 days of driving me nuts LOL ... I noticed when it did go away the PXOC stopped reporting GPU temp in tray (icon just disappeared), so I closed it and started again and all is normal still and temp icon sits in tray, weird. It's something with PXOC software and/or vbios, maybe evga tech support knows more, it's beyond me.

Ok. Try the following... #1 Uninstall precision xoc. #2 Delete evga folder inside C:\Program Files (x86) 2b. Delete evga folder inside C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps (only if using steam version) #3 Shutdown your pc. #4 Unplug psu from wall. #5 Press & hold tower power on button for 30 seconds. #6 Plug psu back into wall. #7 Start pc. #8 Install/Start XOC. XOC should update the mcu's on the card with new firmware that should resolve the problem.

If I understand you correctly you updated Windows 10 to the Windows 10 Fall Creator's Edition is that correct? By the way there is no firmware update for the video card that I am aware of. It sounds to me there is a driver problem somewhere. Uninstall OCX first. Then see if the temperatures are OK. If not then uninstall the NVIDIA drivers via the control panel. Make sure in the control panel that anything that says "NVIDIA" and is associated with the video driver is uninstalled. Then reinstall the video drivers again.
