A few days ago I very nervously and carefully swapped over my components to a new case and everything worked great, then yesterday I wanted to reroute the PCI cable to the card but now only the left hand side fan spins when under load or when setting a manual fan curve, don't know how I've managed to break a fan just by unplugging and plugging in the power connecter...is there anything I can maybe look at to get the other fan working again??...really don't fancy having to go through the hassle of RAMing the card...it's only a couple months old.

Welcome to the Forum swany2After you installed PXOC did you restart your PC? Can you set the Fan Speed in PXOC to say 60% on Both Fans and only ONE Fan Spins?

Sounds like the memory/power section on the card isn't getting hot enough to kick the right side fan on. Do both of the fans turn on when manually adjusting both to 50%?

Only the left side fan will spin when manually adjusting the fan speed, also tried running project cars 2 which is very demanding and still the right side would not spin even when the power and memory LED's where turning red...just don't understand why the fan would stop after plugging and unplugging the PCI-E power lead...was very careful when doing it...is it worth reinstalling the drivers?

Are you using PXOC to set the fan(s) If you are using MSI AB you cannot set the second fan.

Sounds like you got a faulty fan. Time to start the rma process.

How very odd. I'd try uninstalling Precision XOC and then use DDU in Safe Mode to uninstall the Graphics Driver then install the Graphics Driver again and see if it works 'as is' when it's left to it's own devices without any software to intervene. Someone should correct me if I'm wrong, but I think both the fans should spin up at first when booting before Windows and the driver even loads, if not, then it's RMA time..Otherwise it may be software (PXOC) related after that, and if it still don't work right on it's own, RMA time because of a bad fan/controller.

I've been having this same problem for a while now. I have 2x EVGA GTX 1080 Ti SC2 and they both do it, one more than the other. They right-side fan stops spinning while under load, then it might start up after a few minutes. I've reinstalled drivers, reinstalled Windows, changed power supplies, etc. They still do it.
