Hey guys,

Finally stopped having PC issues for a few months, computer settled down and I just ran it as is, didn't mess with any of the drivers or with updates. However, Battlefield 1 is now forcing me to update drivers, 378.78 was no longer supported and I needed to go to a minimum of 384.94.
Computer was running fine for the most part until I updated to 384.94, I ran DDU and installed the driver, played Arma 3 for a few hours and it was fine. About an hour or so ago I started getting a strange stutter-freeze.
Monitoring usage on MSI afterburner showed a drop in GPU usage and jump in frametime that was like clockwork, happening every 2-3 seconds.
These pictures are from the two separate occasions I recorded it happening, FPS would just take small periodic dips... It wasn't happening before I updated.

I'm currently on the Windows update right before the Creators update, it was giving me issues so I rolled back and turned off updates.
What's a good driver I should try next? I'm thinking about trying 385.28 next since I've not heard much bad about it.
Anyone else experiencing these issues?

Thank you.

Nevermind to 385.28 I suppose, says 1080 + Gsync External monitor = stuttering... I got both of those.

    Thank you once again :)

Oh :( Dang I guess that won't work. If I do that, it'll disable the Nvidia control panel and Geforce experience.
I use the control panel to optimize Arma 3 and I use shadowplay to record some videos

It's only needed when playing BF1 with older drivers. When you need to play other games change the filename back to the original to restore function.

Oh gotcha gotcha hmm. I guess that'll work as a temporary fix until a more stable driver comes out.
Mind if I ask though? Are you still running old drivers like pre Creators update? Before with my computers I've always let my drivers update, not sure how long I can last with old drivers and not have problems

    Gotcha! thanks.
Are you running a 1080 with a Gsync monitor by chance?

    Great thank you.
I might give the newer driver a shot. Really frustrating that apparently some of the drivers cause stuttering when paired with a 1080 and Gsync.
