this solved it.
Are you working on a bugfix soon?
By the look of things multiple people have this exact issue and it's not the first time it's happened to me either.
Tho the first time i did a format of my HDD before i could be bothered to try and fix this.

Hello Niktr

Glad that resolved the issue. And of course we are always focused on making PXOC better and we take user submitted bugs in to great consideration. As PXOC is always evolving we ask for patience in regards to hot fixes as everything is not so easy to remove a line of code and it fixes the issue. Let us know if you have any more questions or concerns. Have a wonderful rest of your weekend.

Guess what.
The problem is back again.
I don't know why or how...
Might have something with Windows Update...
I need a permanent fix.

Have you repeated the above steps to see it if resolves the issue again? If you believe Windows Update broke it, then isn't it a Windows issue?

I said it Might be WU.
My PC updated last night, but it could be just a coincidence.
I repeated the steps above, first time didn't work. I tried it for a second time and it worked.
But it's not a permanent fix.

And no this isn't a windows issue. It would be a Windows issue if other programs malfunctioned too, but so far EVGA OCX is the only app glitching out And it's not an isolated case, others have this issue too.

I'm patient enough to wait for an update, but i need some manual perma fix in the meantime. Doing that fix above every few days or so will be a pain especially since I use my PC for Work.
I can't use "my EVGA software is acting up" as a work excuse every day.

Ok quick question.
Do i need this software to control my fans and OC levels?
Is it mandatory?
If not, then the simplest solution would be to delete it and use an alternative method to OC

Nope.  You absolutely do not need Precision installed.  The card should work properly, as designed, right out of the box, with the video card driver installed.

Yes, if you want to control your fans, and set overclocks you will need it.

No, it isn't.

You can try MSI Afterburner but you might miss out on a thermal sensor and possibly the LED too. In fact, if you install it then you can tell us.

I don't overclock that hight up, and LEDs aren't necessary to function. I'm more interested in proper Fan control. I'm in a tiny room in a tiny apartment and the computer is in a corner.
So decent cooling is a must especially in summer.
I usually set it to Fan = Temp + 10 for springtime.
And Fan = Temp + 20,30 for summertime.
When Idle it should be 33*C
When in use i try to keep it under 80*C

If MSI Afterburner can offer that, I'll try it out.

You might try using Revo Uninstaller (Free) to remove LED Sync, and then to remove EVGA Precision XOC.
Use the Advanced Scanning Mode and then delete the leftover files, folders and registry items.

WARNING! Only checkmark to delete the leftover registry items that are shown in bold text.

Restart your PC and intall Precision again and see if it works or not.

Since you've already uninstalled Precision, you'll need to install it again for it and the leftovers to be seen by Revo Uninstaller.

MSI Afterburner will only allow for GPU fan control, not Power/Memory fan control.

Thanks, will try it when i get home.
If it doesn't work... I guess I'll look for other programs until this is fixed.

Hmmm..Well, the only other thing I can suggest is doing what's in Post #7 here..Other than that, you could Contact EVGA..Good luck.

Remember to turn Windows 10 Fast Startup OFF, when upgrading drivers, firmware or hardware

With Windows 10 there is a new “hybrid” startup mode that should cut down on boot up times.

It does this by putting the PC into hibernation instead of "fully shutting down."
