I have an EVGA GTX 1060 6GB Dual Fans in a PC I built two years ago.  It’s working fine.  Two questions:

1.  Are the fans set to run automatically only as needed or can they be set to run all the time?  If they can be set to be always-on, how do I set that?

2.  Is there any way to turn off the EVGA logo light on the top edge of the card?  It’s inside the PC case and no one can see it so there’s no reason for it to be on.

Thanks!
Peter

    1. Only as needed I believe. Precision xoc can set the gpu fan speed to whatever you want.
    2. Precision xoc can also turn the lights off.

    1a) Yes
1b)  You can set a Custom fan profile, with the minimum fan speed set above the minimum to have the fans rum

Use an OC software for GPUs  EVGA Precision XOC is the older version

Post 20 series GPU the software became EVGA  Precision X1 - it may work on your card - I've not used it on a 10 series card

    2) dim LED or set to Black

Hi: When I install my GTX 1060 6GB SC (single fan), the onboard card got disable. At the time I did not care. I will like to be able to enable it.  How do I go about it. Thank You.

Should be adjustable in the bios.

Motherboards normally auto-switch to using a graphics card when one is installed and auto-switch back to using onboard graphics when it's removed.

If you want to switch to onboard graphics while a card is installed, you'll need to manually do it in the BIOS, as stated above.

Depending on the mobo, onboard may be referred to as 'Onboard' or 'iGPU' graphics and the card graphics may be referred to as 'PCIe' or 'PEG' graphics.

After you make/save the change, switch the monitor cable to the proper video output.

    Easy peasy.
