So I recently bought a 1080 FTW Hybrid card, installed fine worked as expected.  At that time I was only using 2 monitors a 24"@1920x1080 (DVI) and a 28"@3840x2160 (DisplayPort).  I then decided to add another 24"@1920x1080 (HDMI) monitor and ever since I did, my gfx card never lowers GPU/RAM clocks below 1250/5005mhz whilst not gaming.  Is this normal behaviour?  I haven't changed any settings since adding the extra monitor.  Also temps seem to go down to a reasonable level even though the clocks aren't going down as low as they used to.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have a look at this post by Sajin.

I previously had that problem with a 970 card and dual monitors, this corrected the issue and now my card down-clocks properly at idle.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't think that's an option now?  I can not see a "Multi Display Power Saver" option :s
