Received the FTW3 today and installed it 30 mins ago. Running a benchmark at max voltage, power target, temp target and slave-bios. But it crashes when i increase the clockspeed. Doesnt matter if its 100 or 10 mhz. These are my settings, what does pixel clock mean? I triggers me that i am really unable to overclock this beast card. It doesn't even hit 2GHz which is promised and the card runs 67C at 100% fanspeed... It has done 3 firmware updates when i plugged it in.

Sounds like you got a bad chip. Gotta love that silicon lottery. The FTW3 doesn't promise to run 2GHz, it's advertised to run at 1683MHz.

Even crashes games with those settings. Sounds like a broken one? And youre right, FTW3 doesnt but Nvidia did promise who is the chipmaker.

How does it run when you set the voltage back to default? You shouldn't be messing with the pixel clock at all.

Did you just remove your old card and install your new one?
We would need to know what hardware you are running to give a lending hand.

Pixel clock controls the speed of the information transfer between your graphics card and the monitor. Don't touch it unless you know exactly what you are doing.

Not really, spikes a lot and the clockspeed goes up and down many times.

If you're playing a older game the boost clock may not even kick in at all. Enabling k-boost will force the card to run at its boost clock at all times.

Looks like the card can't handle its default clocks. Try underclocking the card to see if you can get it stable.

But that doesn't make any sense does it. Card should be at least stable at default and GPU Boost 3.0 should increase it a little, so is the K button. Might need to RMA this one right? I am very unsatisfied and actually sad about the fact that i had to wait 1,5 month to receive a bad gpu like this.

Oh and idling i see a 1999MHz core and a downclocked memory of 1377MHz when using the K button for max speed..

Makes perfect sense to me. Either the chip can do high clocks or it can't. Looks like yours cannot. RMA'ing the card is completely up to you.

1377 x 4 = 5508 which is the correct speed.

So basically my 980Ti ran at 3508 x 4 = 14032 at stock speed? Its DDR, You need to x2 the speed.
FYI, my main issue is that the card cant handle full loads on its designed speed.

Depends on what gpu-z shows...

3508 x 2 = 7016
1753 x 4 = 7012

The 1080 ti FTW is advertised to run at 1683MHz not 1900...

Guess the 10XX series shows x4 and 9XX series x2. Whatever it's cool, but i just want to get the issue about my gpu unable the handle the basic speeds and GPU boost overclock while under load.
Wasnt there an article about 3 monitor setups where the card runs at 1480 MHz all the time? Cuz mine is unable to slow down and i do have a 3 monitor setup.

3 monitors can definitely make the card run at higher clock speeds while idle.

So basically what you are telling me that you don't really get my problem. My 980Ti never had issues like this, ran 400-1000 idle. But i've read somewhere on the forums that this is a common issue that that i needed to change something via the nvidia control center. About you saying that the card is advertised to run at 1683MHz is bullscheiße to me. GPU boost automatically clocks the card further which leads to a crash. You would think a card which costs me 850 euro would be better than a 980Ti right? Fun fact: 980Ti actually performed better in GTA V at stock speeds without dipping under 60 while this card actually dipped much under 60. You can try to cover EVGA here, but me as a customer has an issue which leads to a return if i am not treated how i am supposed to be treated. Since you make me think that you blame it all on me now.

I know how gpu boost 3.0 works. Yes, the card should be working fine in the 1800-1900 ranges. Your chip doesn't look like it can do it though. RMA the card if you aren't happy with its performance. To fix the idle clock speed problem while running three monitors do the following... https://forums.evga.com/9...-m2247670.aspx#2247768

Thats the answer where i am looking for. I've made a call to the US support, they can offer me an RMA so i'll send this baby back to where it came from and receive a new one instead.
I kinda have to cry since i've been waiting for 1,5 month to end up with an issue like this

Bad card if its not stable at stock settings. RMA time. Even if you raise the power target and voltage to max. It should be stable with no overclocking on your behalf.

Unable to perform the gpu swap. Using a risercard for my m.2 ssd(windows os) and i dont have enough 8 pin connectors atm.

I am actually having fun since i achieve a steady 40-50 fps in gta v where my 980ti would reach 60-70 at the same settings.
Im going to reinstall my Windows, have to do that anyways. I'll give it another try.
