Hello everyone.
I do have a question about the GPU Computing & the CPU as well when it comes to folding.
Been playing around with different configurations from Nvidia & FAHControl. I just don't manage max the calculation on GTX 560 TI Graphic card.
I did make a screenshot.

When I first began with folding, the Compute_0 was on 99/100 %.
The next task it fell down to approximately 70%,
The next task it went down again
Next it went up
Now it is down on 30%
How ever, also the cpu has went up and down.

On my other computer/Server I have a NVS 310 1gb Graphic card.
It is constantly 99/100 %, I haven't noticed the cpu, but now it is on 30 %

I did make a new installation as well, updated drivers & so on.

Any ideas why it is the way it is?

Every single WU - Can use PC resource differently (more or less) it is the world we live in

Its good to Fold & run what you have .... however - GPUs older than 980 are not the best at Folding & 10 series & up use much less power & perform best

Windows task manager doesn't accurately report GPU utilization most of the time.  Consider using EVGA Precision X1 software or something else similar.

But in this case, I believe that "Cool GTX" is right. Cause when the GPU is on 100%, the cooler does make more noise. Right now it is on 78% & makes lesser noise. The funny thing, while I was typing, it went down to 45% now & the noise also went down. How ever the CPU is still on 25% more or less.

I thought the GTX 600 series was the lowest supported by FAH?
Granted, a 560 is faster than a 730, but still... Not sure it has anything to do with it's lack of sufficient Double Precision Processing, or it's dependence on OpenCL1.1 (VS 1.2 that FAH needs).

I've been informed that Fermi is still the oldest hardware that is supported. So that's 400-series GPUs and newer... but many of these cards will not be fast enough to get the bonus points anymore. A few probably won't even make the deadlines anymore for the larger projects.

GPU utilization depends on each work unit. Different projects use different instruction sets and therefore different parts of the GPU.
