Just wanted to say i spoke with Wrinvert today on the phone and at that time he was at 513 million points give or take and i did tell him exactly where he was at in points. He was very happy to hear its going that far. Im down to see if we can hit a billion.

That works for me. Anything that will lift his spirits is a good thing! You guys that don't think your old cards are doing any good, it all adds up doesn't it? Thank you all for your efforts, and thank you to the other team members that are in this as well.

Unfortunately I can't think of a way of tracking the individual input unless we were to all use unique passkeys, but then we'd have to prime them all, and that would pretty well undo what we're doing. The best suggestion I can give is to spotcheck your avg through the day.

A billion it is... I'm doing some 3D printing now and get back on it as soon as I can. (I might just hook up the laptop after I clean off my printer bench.)

Yeah, It's all going to depend on the WU violence. You can click on the log if your using the advanced control panel. [Right click on the folding icon in the toolbar, it will give you advanced option]. If you scroll through ,it will show you final credit.
Only other way I know is if you run the HFM client. It has a work unit history viewer. http://hfm-net.com/  This can also be used to monitor your rigs .

thanx for the help man. isnt really that important as long as the points are going into where they are supposed to be that all that matters

actually going to look into setting up a folding rig purposely for it now. gotta figure out what id need for that or what would be best.

Even more impressive than the point total is that we are currently putting out 20 million PPD for him and he is the team's biggest producer by far (which will increase further since the 24 hour average is based on the last week)

Currently in the #2 spot for 24 hour average for the entire project. Couple more days and wrinvert should be displayed in the #1 spot.

We've gotten over 700,000 Points Per Hour on avg and have an estimated potential of just under 960 Million points! We're creeping upwards towards the 1 Billion goal!!

clo007 should get a blue ribbon for this great idea and troy8d for spreading the word to make this happen for wrinvert. This is uniting teams and bringing old folders back. Everyone has a positive outlook again. This is one of the nicest things that I have been a part of in the folding community. wrinvert you are in our thoughts, our prayers and our pc's.

We normally don't give out BRs in the folding section but as an exception I'll give one out to him due to multiple requests to do so.

Click on configure top left corner,
A window will pop up,
Click on slots.

You should see the cpu and gpu's.
Click on cpu then remove button bottom right.

Then you press save, window will close and you are good to go.

Cheers
Steve

I've added a chart that will add data as we go along - It's plotting the hourly points updates so you can get a feel for our average output.

Re: Folding for wrinvert- May 23rd to June 23rd 2016/05/30 00:37:13 (permalink)
My apologies to the Folding team, and to Wrinvert, for having to decline.

I can't risk losing another GPU, even if the two I still have could even fold anymore.  This has not been a good year for me regarding hardware failures, and to fire up in full response for this effort would be tempting Murphy's Law to come down on my head in the most expensive ways possible.

Yes, the former me would probably have laughed at danger and fired up everything I could and gone digging through parts bins to try making something else work.  I know that.  The former me also didn't spend 6 months in the dark, with no way of using the internet.  I have.  I also don't have the hardware reserves I once did.  Back then, if I blew up my main system, I had a backup plan sitting not too far away.  Sure, it wouldn't be as stable or as fast, but it existed.

Currently, I have two systems.  I have my SR-2, which needs new fans on the H80i Corsair coolers if I even wanted to think about firing up SMP, and it has a GTX 275 and a GTS 250 in it.  I used to have two GTX 580's in it, too, but they don't work anymore.  One has severe overheating issues, the other throws artifacts under load and eventually crashes the system.

My other system is a really crappy Acer laptop with a 1.3ghz Celeron in it, 4 GB of DDR2, and integrated graphics.  It also has a half-dead keyboard and a touchpad that really doesn't work anymore.  It also used to take more than a week to fold a uniprocessor work unit, which unless something dramatically changed in the past few years, isn't worth it.

So, I'm sure you can see why I'm reluctant to push my main system right now.  If I lose any one single component in the SR-2, I go from a 12 core, 24 thread beast that can do quite a bit, to a 1 core, 1 thread pain that can't even play Minecraft without shuddering.

As stated above, I do apologize for not participating.

I hope Wrinvert gets better, or that you guys find the cure for him in the meantime.
