Can we get hotkey for profiles in flow control like we have in OCX for profiles?

so ive read alot and it seems like the software cant read fan speeds or cpu temps on a ryzen based system. is that right? if so thats a pretty big oversight.

I just got an EVGA clc 280 and installed it in my system yesterday. The Flow software does not read my CPU temperature and any time I try to interact with any part of the software that is supposed to use CPU temp to modify behavior it instantly crashes. The device was recognized fine and installed fine with no issues, the pump runs at full speed and the fans are spinning up and down as intended however this leaves me unable to make a custom fan curve based on CPU temps (the one that makes the most sense) without plugging the fans directly into my mobo and bypassing the FLOW software entirely. The preset fan curve is slightly too aggressive for my tastes, I find this to be annoying, and I would like to see this software interact with my system properly.

Ryzen 1700 @ 3.7ghz (1.275v)
MSI x370 Gaming pro carbon (plugged into CPU_fan1 running in PWN mode at manual 100%, fans plugged into the clc itself.)

MSI gtx 1070 gaming X

I haven't been able to use the waterblock software since the new LED update on precision. It refuses to detect my CLC

Just going to throw my new problem in here. Hopefully it'll do some good to the development team.
I have an EVGA 1080 ti FTW3 and a CLC 280. At first I was just setting the lighting manually on both using Precision XOC and Flow Control respectively but then LED Sync was released but only detected GPU.
Now, a short time later, it detects both gpu and clc but only if Flow Control is not running. If I attempt to run Flow Control while LED Sync is running I get the CPUWB "device not found" error while if I run Flow Control first and then open LED Sync, my cooler doesn't show up for synchronization.
So I can basically have control of my fans and pump speeds or I can sync my lights. Not both.

It should also be noted that I have g.skill trident z rgb ram on a x99 sabertooth motherboard running g.skills lighting software which does come along with its own problems. Non of which, I believe, should be effecting the issues at hand.

I don't have your exact CLC but this is my issue, same graphics card. am trying to downgrade precision OC software version as suggested in this thread. 120mm clc from evga

so my issue is that as mentioned above, my LED SYNC wont let my flow open. If I open flow, then LEDsync, it won't let me control my CLC. important to note, flow isn't displaying a) coolant temp b) making changes to LED activity/fan speed does nothing. what's up with that?

If you want both to work tell it gets fixed you will need to back off version on Precision xoc to Version 6.1.16
I think only LED and 1070 Ti were the added items in the two later versions

This worked for me on z270 mb and gtx 1080 FTW2 card

I plan to just hard wire in a cooling pump and fan speed next build

I am running a Z270 MB, (2) 1070ti's in SLI and getting the same issue (device not found)  I have current Precision XOC and DG Tuner running as well.  Everything works but the Flow COntrol Software.

I have tried that and makes no difference. Uninstalled and reinstalled all EVGA software...makes no difference...I know it's seen because LED sync works

make sure when testing that Start with OS AND start minimized  are both OFF

I tried so many ways it would be hard to say what steps actually got it working

NOW --- Setting up yesterday new Z370  system and it worked first time but have not downloaded Precision X

Re: Flow Control 2.0.4 2018/01/28 01:04:09 (permalink)
Still conflicting with the latest XOC and LED sync. Whenever I boot up it says device not found. I have to physically unplug and plug back in the usb cable.

It's silly these programs still essentially have the same issue with LED sync where you either have to choose LED sync or actual control of your waterblock/rad fans. Pretty annoying since on the 7700 the default auto fan curve ramps it up to an unbearable noise by default.

Get the CPUWB device not found error box every 1st time I try to load the software after a bootup with the latest version. The second time it works correctly. Any idea why this would occur?

Re: Flow Control 2.0.4 2018/02/19 20:23:51 (permalink)
Hmmm... Just ordered the CLC 240. It's arriving tomorrow. Must say I'm a bit troubled by all the problems posted here regarding the Flow Control software. On the product page, it says that the fan profiles can be saved to firmware. I've not seen any posts about this, but to me, that was the "I'm gonna buy it " feature. I've been using a Corsair H110i GT cooler since its release day, and have lost what's remaining of my hair with Corsair's software used to control the H110i GT cooler. Just this last week, I was finally able to get a stable version of Corsair's software running.

So seeing that the fan settings were able to be saved in the firmware, I thought a lot of the problems with software controlling the fan curves would be cured.

Are you guys able to save the settings to the cooler's firmware and stop running the Flow Control software or not?

I've been getting the same thing.  A restart of the app fixes it for me as well.

Just received and installed CLC 280. Have a Ryzen 1800x so would love Flow Control support. Was freaking out cause temps were so high in Flow Control but hwinfo is like "nah, you're good" so the fans are ramping up too early if that's the case. Please help. Thanks.

Where is this option? "
  • Added an option to select fan curve based on CPU temperature or coolant temperature"

I'm running version 2.0.7 ... CPU temp is still wrong for AMD Ryzen cpu with it's (stupid) built in 20C offset. And this throws the whole CPU Curve off.  Could you (beg) please add a field in options for CPU Off Set.

click on the gear for settings and the LCD color tab then select water or cpu
click ok when finished

seems to work and keeps the setting after a re-boot

only need to check if the 32 bit version is really 64 bit for windows 10 or only 32 availabel ?
WATCH out and do not select the windows 7 64 that is out of position below the windows 10 32 bit version

You're absolutely right about the 60 degree K threshold.   These fans are way too loud when gaming or encoding video.  Cannot recommended to others.

1) My custom curbe (profil2) doesn't work normaly, the  fan turn at 2500rpm / default curbe (profil1) 1500rpm in game at 57°C at the same time   (screens tress test join : same result in game at 57°C)
ive got a helicopter on my office  for less 100$ (noise)
Problem with your max T° target: 60°C   or your software?????

2) after one hour of play, although the temperature of the cpu falls to 35 ° C, the fan continues to rotate at 1500rpm  (screen join)

LED Sync still unable to locate the CLC280.

Also the CLC RBG pump is stuck in rainbow cycle, can't follow the card.  only can be shut off from Flow control.
Really important to have flow control running for the fans to work properly, but I just leave the LED off at this point because I can't even set it to a static color.  Any fixes on the way?

Re: Flow Control 2.0.4 2019/01/20 09:58:59 (permalink)
Hello everyone,

Using CLC 280 on a ASUS Maximus Code X, 8086k cpu, Windows 10 1809 update.
If FlowControl starts automatically with Windows I get a CPUWB Device Not Found message. If I try to manually load FlowControl it works. Using FlowControl 2.0.9.0 - Firmware 2.10.0.0

I tried to use plug the pump even on different USB ports (instead of the internal USB), same issue. If manually started, it works as intended, if Windows starts it automatically at boot, it fails to load. Its really annoying to manually load it every time I turn on the computer - this is definitely a EVGA FlowControl software issue with Windows 10 1809. EVGA, could you please fix this issue?

I already have a ticket open with EVGA support, but its being a painful process so far as all the information requested was superficial and not logs or anything that could help debug the issue were not required so far. So looks like a guessing game - try this, try that, .... same results. Ins't it better to gather logs and have a software engineer to analyse it?
