I am not sure if this was discussed but the Appearance LED is blocked out. I own two 1080 TI FTW3. I would like to change the white LED to any other color but the New Precision disable that ability.

Have you tried using the LED Sync option on the main page?

Yes and I use it to sync my other LED. It works on the side logos of the GPU.

EVGA LED SYNC works on the side LED but not on the backplate LED.  I'm trying to find the option to change out the color from white to another color.

I just tested here with a 1080 Ti FTW3, and here's what you have to do:

  1. Open PXOC.
  2. Open the LED Sync.
  3. Close the LED Sync first by clicking X, then right click and close it in the system tray (task manager is not needed).
  4. Open the Option tab in PXOC, and you'll see the options for Appearance and Thermal available now.
  5. Make your changes for your backplate and thermal sensors.
  6. Close the option tab and open the LED Sync.
  7. Setup your Sync, and the backplate and GPM should remain the same as what you set in Step 5 (unless you pick Follow Badge Color...for obvious reasons).

Lol. This definitely needs to be fixed. A person shouldn't have to do all that just to get the appearance & thermal tabs to work.

Well, sometimes I can tell people how to fix things...sometimes I can tell people how to make things work.  This is one of the latter times.

Pinning this thread as I'm pretty sure other people will need to do the same.

So you're saying you are able to access the appearance/thermal tabs, or are you saying you can only access the led sync window?

I have a similar problem. When I click on the setting cog in XOC I CAN access the Appearance LED tab but the Thermal LED tab is grayed out. I can either use the Appearance LED tab in the settings menu or I can use LED sync; they both work to control the LED but they don't have an option for thermal control fo the LED. I want the LED color to change in response to GPU temperature. Is this possible with the EVGA GTX 1080 Hybrid?

Like @Toasteetv it wont let me enable the sync to get my led enabled. I have a 1060 SSC

Any other ideas maybe editing a file or regedit?

Maybe it is not enabled due to only having 1 single evga video card.

I think the LED appearance option is disabled for GPU's lower than GTX 1080. The cards only have white LED for the name.

I'm having this issue.  I currently have 3 cards up.  2 of them are identitcal 1070 FTW.  the other is a 1080ti SC black.  when i click on the precision tab i can change and access the LED options for the 1070s.  But the lone 1080ti's LED sync button is greyed out and so are the thermal LED tabs in the settings.  I just want all my cards to be the same color.  Any idea how to fix this?

The sc black isn’t rgb and doesn’t have thermal led’s, so you can’t change anything.

That isn't silly. It's entirely your fault for not reading the fine print before buying.

Whoa. That is so silly.
Anyway, non of that worked for me. I even uninstalled and reinstalled. Led Sync wouldn't open clicking the button. (even tried older version of xoc and the new beta..)
Had to uninstall again, manually remove all EVGA registry keys (A LOT!) and install again.
Now the Appearance and Thermal is clickable.
Draw back: Badge and backplate led IS OFF! No matter what i set them to.

geez. The QC is abysmal for EVGA software.

Not necessary the thermal led tab black out for me, but rather I am noticing that the leds themselves haven't been changing color according to temperature.
I would have to open up Settings before it starts to "sync" up and would start changing color based on temp.
I've tried with both LED Sync on and off, but still happening.
Anyone run into this issue?

Edit: looked a bit more deeply. looks like its an issue that's not fixed since 6.2.6

Hey Guys,

Day 2 of having Evga GTX 1080ti FTW3 card. LED sync and all options were working yesterday. Set them to a cool colour etc. Turned PC on today. Its stuck at standard white again. The LED Sync and Sensor buttons are greyed out on XOC.

Appearance LED and Thermal LED are also greyed out in the settings menu.

I did update my motherboard bios yesterday before shutting down. My motherboard is a Gigabyte Z170N-WIFI-CF

I've uninstalled and reinstalled XOC to try and get the LED control back, to no avail.

Can anyone help with this?

Additionally... the power temp and memory temp are showing as blank... is that normal?

Completely shutdown your pc, unplug psu cable from wall socket, hold case power on button for 30 seconds, plug psu cable back into wall socket, start pc, start precision. See if that fixes your issue with the power & memory temps not showing.
