EVGA exited GPU, Mobo and case market. The only things they sell now is power supplies, gaming peripherals, CLC coolers and capture card.

EVGA is still thriving selling smaller items.

We know better than that.  EVGA has reduce itself to selling mediocre power supplies with 3yr warranty (unless you register it) and subpar gaming peripherals that are plagued with quality control issues.

EVGA won't even own up to mistake it's RMA department made that cost one customer 22TB of data due to EVGA sending customer PSU that had a different pin out but was same model number. EVGA told the customer to keep all cables and didn't send any new cables with RMA replacement PSU.

EVGA stuck it to customers who own EVGA Z790 mobo with no BIOS update to support intel 14th gen CPU's. ASUS and other motherboard vendors released BIOS update months ago.

Set sail? It already sank. They can’t even hire people to make a bios update for us. They had a great run. That is certain. But now we are all just here at the wake waiting for the burial.

Video cards cost consumers a lot of money to buy but they are not a high profit margin item from my understanding. I don't work for EVGA and haven't talked to anyone at EVGA about it but from what I saw on Gamers Nexus it seems like the profit off a PSU or CLC would be higher.

I do think that the ship has set sail already if they were to go with another graphics chip. You only really stay relevant to gamers for about 2-3 years so if EVGA announced a partnership with lets say AMD or Intel it wouldn't be as exciting today as it would be two years ago.

Never going to happen.  Given what the owner of the company said, the only way that will happen is if the owner of the company finds a way to live forever.

Unless the owner of the company completely changes his mind, EVGA will close.  The ship is sailing.

That^ is the current situation. Even the latest update GN posted on the subject confirmed that they have minimal staff left, nothing is in the pipeline, and there are no known plans for the company to continue other than supporting some of the existing warranty periods. Of course the owner has the ability to change his mind, but that's literally the only way they could "come back" as they've already gotten rid of everyone who makes things. It would be a from scratch operation because it's not like the designers they had have been just sitting around waiting for the owner to change his mind.

I guess by set sail, I meant how much longer will these forums even be up?  Next time you go to evga.com - you might be getting a 503 Internal Server error.  But who knows..

I've been asking the same question since last year. EVGA no longer has the decency to even specifically tell us no more BIOS updates will be made. I 100% doubt they will have the decency to mention when the forums will be closing. It has been nice being here, and I am going to miss the interactions. R.I.P EVGA. We will think of nothing but the good memories and experiences we had with you.

EVGA has had new products since the announcement that they were stopping the sale of NVIDIA graphics cards. Companies can make money off of just PSU and CLC to stay around for a long time in the market place if they make a good quality product that they stand behind.

They only intend to "stand behind" the newer psus for 3 years. The peripherals are terrible quality (I have owned them and speak from personal experience).

They're making enough money to keep the rma department afloat on products that were already designed and had manufacturing agreements in place with suppliers for until they satisfy some period of warranties they think is acceptable. GN has already confirmed as much.

The T2 and P2 PSU's are very good, if you can find them anywhere. I personally wouldn't go for the budget PSU lines though, which seem to be mostly what EVGA has to offer now.

I have about 6 EVGA keyboards lol, a couple of Z12's my daughter uses (water resistance is a big bonus there), a few Z15's and a Z20. The Z15 I'm using at present is starting to have a few issues though.. couple of keys sticking now and then, and it seems the left ctrl key is hyper sensitive - just the slightest unintentional touch and it activates, although all are probably easily fixed by swapping out the switches. I do like having the volume control on the keyboard, and the Z20 palm rest is really nice. I added O-rings to all the EVGA keyboards so they don't bottom out so hard, that actually made quite an improvement to them, imo. I'll likely go back to my full size GMMK soon though (Gateron Brown switches and some after-market pudding-style keycaps with thin soft O-rings).

Not in it's current state obviously.  The value of EVGA at this point would be the IP.

Would take some radical change like the owner going against his word or selling the company, then moving EVGA out of California, then building from the ground up (maybe bringing back some key people).  This would require a significant capital raise, which I don't think think there is much appetite for in today's economy.

I totally agree that there were some really fantastic power supplies from EVGA over the years. I've had several. My comment was specifically about the newest models (XC and FTW) that only come with 3y warranties. I don't know what their actual quality level is (I haven't seen any reviews), only that EVGA is only offering a short warranty period compared to their more well known and historically high quality PSUs.

My comment on the peripherals was in relation to the two X17 mice and the z20 keyboard I have/had. The X17 mouse was comfortable in the hand, but the plastics were really cheap and the scroll wheel kept slipping. I RMAd the first one for the scroll wheel and then the second one (a refurbished, but not too beat up replacement) eventually had the same problem except that scroll wheel was kind of crunchy the whole time too. The Z20 looked nice and I thought the proximity sensor was kind of neat, but they switches were not replaceable and they had so much wiggle and play that they bounced around and it was the loudest keyboard I've ever used. It was advertised as "silent" switches lol. I know that sometimes just means linear in switch marketing, but there are more "silent" switches out there, which I have in my new keyboard and it's truly quiet, which I like. It also didn't register every time you pushed a key...it was sporadic. I found out the control key wasn't always triggering when I couldn't dodge anything in CP2077 lol. So between the obnoxious loudness to the keys getting stuck and not registering every time, I grew to hate the thing. Also, seeing how many other people had the same kinds of problems I had and I had to laugh when they sent LTT a set of peripherals to use on their videos and they sent them a mouse that didn't even work lol.

Of course I liked their older stuff. I'm still running my z690 Classified because I have no need for 14th gen and it's still running great. The power supplies used to be fantastic. My CLC-280 worked great for almost 5 years before it failed (but that's about average for AIOs, especially older ones). I'm just not going to act like what they have for sale now is still a viable business plan. It's also been confirmed by the closest thing we have to official releases (their communication to GN because they don't talk to the public directly) that they're winding down, no products are being developed anymore, and it's going to continue to dwindle until it's gone. Sad times, but the world moves on.
