I have a GTX 1070SC in the PCI slot on my motherboard (Asus TUF x570). Seasonic 750w modular PSU.
I'm getting the 'turn off the computer and connect the PCIe power connector' message after installing the card in a new computer. It's connected.
Does anyone have an accurate diagram please for the 8 pin power connector on the 1070SC? I've verified I have power at the cable, trying to determine if the card has gone bad or if it's a wiring issue.

Thank you - to be 100% sure - is the diagram you shared as I were looking into the cable, or the socket that's physically soldered to the graphics card? Here's what my cable looks like, as if you were looking at the GPU end of the cable. I'm wondering if we need to swap pins 1 and 4 (Seasonic has no pin 4 on the PSU end).

The pinout diagram I linked you to is as if you're looking into the PCIe power cable connector from the PSU that plugs into the graphics card.
The 8-pin connector end that plugs into the graphics card should either be a solid 8-pin connector or a 6+2-pin connector that has ground terminals on pins 4 and 8.

Thank you. we've verified that it's a 6+2, pins 4 & 8 are ground. pins 1,2, and 3 are all getting 12v, and pins 5,6,7 are also ground. Tested with a multimeter. Have tried multiple Ports on the PSU as well (swapped the CPU ports which are known good). Also saw no voltage drop on the card PCIe power supply when powering it on, still receiving a strong 12v. Is there anything else I could try? we just updated the motherboard BIOS. Leaning towards the card being dead at this point but it's so weird, it worked perfectly the last time it was used. thank you

At this point I would say the GPU is bad..Contact EVGA if it's under warranty..If it's not under warranty, you could disassemble the card and bake only the PCB in an oven (aka the oven trick) which should reflow any solder cracking (not uncommon with cards of that era) that exists and hope for the best..200C with the GPU side up for 15 mins..Search 'Bake graphics card' or 'Bake video card' on YouTube.
I've had solder cracking on my GTX 760 and also on a 9800 GTX that sometimes resulted in the 'Please power down and connect the PCIe connectors' message and sometimes atifacting..I baked both cards and that fixed them.

they should be fine but be careful so any SMD's on the back dont fall off, ive done this before with mixed results, for better results a hot air re-work station, tube of flux and fresh solder will work way better but take extremely steady hand and patients of a saint lol. but if done right it will be better than new.

So we ordered a new card, an RTX 2060. It is doing the same exact thing!
Would you try replacing the motherboard or power supply next?

You haven’t tried a completely different cable? If yes, get a different psu.
