My 3070 has been throttling while playing a game during hot weather. I think I adjusted the throttle temp in Precision X1 in 2021 when I got the game and maybe I adjusted the throttle temp too low. Here is a pic of the setting. Is the temp at the bottom of the graph referencing the Hot Spot Temp or the GPU temp? my Gpu temp has been getting to about 75C, Memory 80C, Hotspot 92C. The pic I posted was converted to about 10000 lines of code so I deleted it. Maybe we don't need the graph.

 PSA adding a photo to your Post - EVGA made some changes - Post Directions below Ultimate Self-Starter Thread For New Members - look at step (4) for new low post count members on posting a "broken link" those temps look fine (normal), the hot spot might be causing your GPU to step down a little bit in MHz If you set your GPU voltage to 90-95% the temp usually drops a noticeable amount. The Cooler GPU with step higher because of "Nvidia Boost" - the performance should not be impacted - as a result of a higher MHz with a cooler GPU, even at lower voltage Custom fan curve being used on GPU? Case fans running @ 100%?

Thanks for the info!
I reduced the GPU power to 93% and it reduced the temps significantly. Now the temps are 70c/75c/ and 88C, Based on these temps, do you think I should replace the thermal paste and pads? The GPU is three years old and I play video games several hours per day.

hot spot is 75C or RAM?
88C for hot spot/RAM? ---- if this is a hot spot, you might benefit from a new TIM application - still that is not all that bad
I've seen my own cards hit much higher hot spots above GPU temps
What about lowering the OC on the GPU MHz? (how much is the OC?)
Are you case fans all clean & @ 100%? How many, size & push In or Out of case? (you need to get the CPU & GPU heat out of your case, before the GPU cooler recycles the heated air)
Are you using a custom GPU fan Curve? try setting a Curve based on Temp in C +20 = fan speed% 50C = 70% fan, 60C =80% fan
Any way to cool the room you in? fan, A/C .....

Sorry I forgot to provide my fan situation in my previous post.
GPU is 70C
RAM is 75C
Hot spot is 88C
My fans are controlled by curves in Argus Monitor and they are GPU C +20% so at 80c the fans are at 100%
The case fans are about the same but the output fan is smaller at 120mm so its curve is GPU C + 40%.
All the fans and the interior of the case have been vacuumed recently. There are also two input 140mm fans and one CPU 140mm fan and a big CPU heatsink.
It has been warm here in California and the inside of my house gets up to about 85F lately. No AC here so I'm at the mercy of the weather.
The overclock is
GPU +81
MEM +200
I just ran VF Curve Tuner and it passed.

Thanks again for the info. MODDIY paste sounds great. I wish shipped from someplace closer than China. I might get some anyway, at least eventually.
Yesterday I registered my GPU and jumped through the other EVGA hoops so they should be shipping me new pads soon. In the meantime, dropping the voltage helped reduce the temps enough. Also, my GPU fans weren't getting to 100% soon enough so I adjusted the curves a little and that helped too.
