Check out EVGA Elite membership. Some of the cards come out to Elite members first on a notify queue basis. Wait times can still be long, but at least you're in a queue. there's also a DAILY giveaway for Elite members, and occasionally that may be a GPU. Several ways to get membership, I believe one of them is through the EVGA Twitch streams, plus they have draws almost every time they stream, and sometimes the prize is a GPU. Check out the first link in this post and that should get you pointed in the right direction.

I am just really glad that EVGA did the queue. It at least makes me feel members have more of a shot since the community was informed of when things launched.

So i stopped gaming around 2013 and my last card was a GTX690. Every card before that has been an EVGA too. Decided to check this account and laughing at my signature on the specs of my machine at the time. Damn times have changed and so has technology. 
Just built a new machine and went all out with everything(minus the GPU)
NZXT H710 Case
Intel i7 10700k
Kraken Z73 cooler
Samsung 32" G7
16gb Gskill Ram
Crucial M2 1TB
and a eVGA 1050ti i had to buy on ebay for $250 just to get my machine up and running. Im waiting for a 3090 or 3080, and bo oy its tough to compete against these bots and scalpers.
Im actually in the hunt to game again, and just finished hitman 3 and playing shadow of the Tomb raider now. Slowly starting to lose my patience to buy one though. 
So EVGA, if you ever give dibs on loyal buyers to purchase a card, im right here lol. (worth a shot)

I always enjoy hearing peoples stories.   What made you stop gaming? If it's too personal a story of course I understand.

Ha! Well, i just kinda was bored, and started going out and club it a lot. Then i was in 2 relationships in that time frame and really didn't have time to game. 
Weird now that im single, i started DJing again on IG and on Twitch since i used to do it in the 90s and still had my vinyl. That's when i realized my PC then was not really cutting it and would freeze or reboot at times and wanted something stable. I said i need a new machine and started buying a supposedly budget PC lol. Then the gamer in me came back and went all out. I said i was just gonna spend max 1k-1.5 lol. Yea right. Little did i know the wrong time to build a PC with the GPU shortage . Oh well. But thats my story.

Awesome guys! Thanks for the elite member info. Def gonna sign up for that. If not this gen of GPUs at least for the 40 series ill be ready.
BTW, is there a reason wy or what needs to be done to view the for sle setion, it brings up a random screen. Sorry, been gone a while. Thanks again!

How to Apply for the EVGA Marketplace (access)
 
Requirements to apply: You must be a member in good standing with more that 50 posts on the forums. These post cannot be spam or bumps of any kind. Your posts must have substance. During the approval process, your posts will be reviewed, and if they do not meet the requirements, we will ask you to reapply once you have more posts.

The process of applying is simple, but sometimes hard to find:

1. From any page on the EVGA Forum, locate the "Menu" found under the search field.
2. Click on the "Menu" link and it will provide you with a drop down.
3. From the drop down, click on "User Groups"
4. The page will load and you will see "EVGA Marketplace"
5. If you have met the requirements, there will be a "Join Group" link. If you do not meet the requirements, then that section will be blank.
6. Once you have clicked on the "Join Group" link, the status will be set to "pending" until an Admin reviews your request and approves it. Once approved, you will have access to the Marketplace section and be able to post.

We do ask that once you are approved for the Marketplace that you review the following post (access to these are granted once you are approved for the marketplace):
