Curves are sexy, no doubt I feel like it is slightly more immersive, though I'm not sure if the novelty wears off (I used the curved monitor while I visited someone else). If you care about competitive gaming, then flat panel is still best.

It's a personal preference. I find it obnoxious when people ask others what their own opinion should be. We're not mind readers.

Office and image processing etc. is annoying and not recommended. I think curved playing is great, I notice the effect of better immersion. Watch video etc. ok too. I love my curved monitor. (But it's primarily just for playing and watching videos.) In the end, you have to look over yourself, some absolutely hate it, others don't notice a difference when playing, and others like me.

id say not, some people think the whole curve thing is cool bc they imaging it wraps around you to create better immersion, in reality its just distortion city where imagines look stretched like pizza dough pulled out around your face, though some ppl might like that type of thing or maybe that was just the 5 or so monitors I've seen with games themselves doing that, I like my monitors like I like my tv's, flat & not being a pain in that ass to move

If the size is larger than 27in, I like curved, which helps me focus the whole panel and not feel like I'm looking at a mere portion of it.

I agree that it depends a lot on the size. Larger monitors it is nice for the immersive feeling it gives while gaming but I wouldn't use it for office use. If it's a smaller monitor then you really don't get that immersive feeling and it's just becomes annoying I find.

Curved monitors - always VA panels. Those panels has not so great pixel response time. Usually specs claims 1 ms MPRT, but GtG response time doesn't looks so impressive - it usually around 4 ms. Flat monitors - can be any technology, VA, IPS, TN. VA and IPS has same issue as above. TN panels fastest, has 1 ms GtG response time, but it comes at a cost... less viewing angels, colors not so bright.

Curved monitor for sure, especially if it's a big one. I have a curved ultrawide monitor and I absolutely love it. Strangely enough, when I use my old monitor (currently attached to my wife's computer) which is flat, it looks like it's curved backwards, just because I'm used to using a curved monitor now.

I've had a curve VA and IPS 32" and honestly I don't think I would have noticed if they were curved or not. Only time I ever get reminded they are curved is when someone comes over and shouts "Your monitors are curved!"

I've been using a 38" for a few months now. It's a fairly gentle curve, but you probably won't notice it 99% of the time.

It's all personal preference and budget. I picked up a curved Samsung 27" 1080 panel last year on clearance from Walmart, absolutely love the screen. Pick a budget, then decide resolution, screen size, and look for the best bang for your buck from there!
