UPDATE (current progress):

========================================================================================================
Hello all, its been a while since I have done a build. Ive been using my X99 system since 2014 until now. To recap and view my X99 rig please click my Mods Rigs page in my profile (Titled 2014 build). Anyways I have decided to begin a new build for 2020. Here are the components I will be using:

Case: ROG Helios
Motherboard: ROG Maximus XII Formula
CPU: Core i9 10900k
RAM: 16 GB Corsair Dominator Platinum @ 3000Mhz (4 x 4GB)
GPU: TBD ? (Trying for a 3080 FTW3 or HC )
Power Supply: ROG Thor 1200W
Monitor: ROG PG35VQ (200hz, 3440x1440, HDR1000)

Cooling
Distro block + pump + res: EK-Quantum Reflection Evolv X D5 PWM D-RGB - Plexi
CPU Block: EK Quantum Velocity
Radiator: HWLabs Black Ice Nemesis GTS360 (needed thinner rad to fit in new case)
Fans: Lian Li Unifan SL120
Tubing: Bitspower Non-chamfer Crystal Link 12mm OD acrylic

I began with drilling some holes into the chassis to mount the distro block:

This Distro block just barely fits, but it does fit

Motherboard installed with rough tubing path mockup

I decided to not go with the Maximus XII monoblock because I dont like the way it looks. Instead Im running tubes to the individual blocks.

That's what I did on my mods rig as well, I had to drill both halves of the chassis to mount my flat pump/reservoirs. Was well worth it because I needed one on front and back side.

Mine is called kingpins-n-green on the mod rigs page.

I used a saw and jig to cut the tubing and 1000 grit sand paper to smooth out the edges

This was the first time I ever did hardline tubing. I tried to get it as close as I could to being leveled:

I left the radiator out for now because I still need to acid clean it. But I wanted to leak test the blocks since I changed around jetplates in the CPU block:

The blocks are good. No leak

Like the Distro block.  Doing the same on my build later this month. Couldn't fit the EK one where I am placing mine, but I like the look.

"Democracy is not freedom. Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to eat for lunch. Freedom comes from the recognition of certain rights which may not be taken, not even by a 99% vote. Those rights are spelled out in the Bill of Rights and in our Constitution. Voters and politicians alike would do well to take a look at the rights we each hold, which must never be chipped away by the whim of the majority."

looking very good ... your first time with hardline tubing .. impressive results

Using a new radiator ?  Acid wash is on the harsh side ... unless it is very dirty inside .. neutralizing / removing all traces of the acid is the hardest part

Good idea, pressure testing in stages - can help find any issues as the build progresses & before other parts are in the way & you can address any existing issues while waiting for parts

Thanks I had to measure out the room I had to work with and then just get a distro that fits within the space.

And yes its a brand new rad since my last one (a Thrmochill PA 120.3) was too thick for this case. The new radiator is a HardwareLabs Black Ice Nemesis 360GTS. It looks fairly clean inside but Im nervous about clogging up my new loop. I never had clear tubes before so Im trying to keep it as clean as possible. Do you think I can get away with rinsing with distilled water, run DW and flush it out a few times from the loop

I use a Hot water flush, refill & shake - to see what comes out of the radiator

[do not make a solid connection to your faucet, household water pressure is too high & will easily damage the radiator - if the water can't escape fast enough through an open port]

Repeat until it comes out clean - dumping into a white container helps you see the tiny bits

After it is "clean" - then rinse with distilled water a couple of times

Thanks all! I have finally finished my build

I decided to do a hardline drain port just for looks:

I attached my Bitpower argb hub at the bottom left:

The massive amount of cables thankfully is hidden by this panel:

    The distro block:

The system posted fine with no issues:

And then the final piece of the puzzle!

    GPU installed:

So far the system has been working great. I have the CPU overclocked to 5.35ghz all cores. Im actually receiving the new memory kit this week (G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 4400mhz). I also plan to put the GPU in the watercooling loop once I find a suitable waterblock for it

    Thanks guys!

This build was fun. It was definitely intimidating at first since this was my first attempt at hardline tubing and I decided to go with acrylic instead of PETG. The only part I found annoying was the tubing that goes from the CPU block to the distro block since both 90 degree bends had to be a specific distance from each other. I wasted a lot of tubing on this.. besides that 1 tube with the dual 90 degree bend, the rest went pretty smooth!

I will post some final pics after I get the memory kit and the GPU waterblock installed
