Both flow control and x1 seem to be causing bsod for me. Are there any alternatives for fan control of my clc and gpu? I really dont want to have to choose between high temps vs daily bsod.

Some other software on your system may be causing the interference. Close everything down and then try to run the programs to see if the issue will go away.

So after some more testing/researching it just seems to be the flow control software that is causing the bsod.

( I had a link here of someone who had similar problems who went in much more depth but seems you cannot post links)

Is there a way to use the bios to control the pump speed, fan speed and such?

See How Do I Troubleshoot Issues with Flow Control For My CLC Cooler? in the EVGA FAQs.

Perform the uninstall/reinstall part and make sure you have the Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013 installed..If you have that already installed, you should get an option to "Repair" when you run the installer, which you should do.

You can also run the dxwebsetup, vcredist_x64, and vcredist_x86 from within the C:\Program Files\EVGA\Precision X1\Redist folder..I would right-click on them to "Run as administrator" and also do that when reinstalling PX1/Flow Control.

You can use BIOS settings to control the pump/fans from Fan/CPU/Pump headers on the mobo if it comes down to that, but you'll need to say what mobo you have if you need help with that..You should also say what OS you're running.

Hello, If the provided troubleshooting fails to resolve your issue, please also try re-seating the USB cable or if your motherboard has the available option, test with a different USB 2.0 Header on your motherboard.  From there, if the symptoms are still present we may be able to help with sending a replacement USB cable or if further necessary RMA of the Cooling unit altogether.

The BSOD does not happen often, in the past 20 days it happened twice 10 days apart from eachother so its kinda hard to know if its fixed or not.

You should post some .dmp files to see what can be found.

Guess a second opinion would not hurt.

"After restart", "system and event", and "20 days later" are the only folders that I think should actually be relevant but maybe you would like to look at the older ones.

Just to let off some steam ill complain here xd

I was having way more major bsod mid/late last month when I got new ram. Got lots of bsod so I updated my 3 year old bios but then when I booted up the computer it got constant bsods I tried reverting to my previous 3 year old bios but that also got bsod before I could hit desktop screen. Tried multiple inbetween bios updates all the same. I just decided to get the newest bios and then do a clean windows install which fixed the problem.

Every time I updated my bios I feared for my life.

Looks like you got a cpu problem, or you have some unstable oc's going on. What do you currently have your cpu & ram running at? Still got the 8600k?

I have my 8600k at 4.7 and my 8x2GB ram at 3600 I did memtest64 on the ram and it came out with zero errors. It's been 11 days since my last bsod.

If you continue to have issues I would suggest setting your cpu back to default clocks along with setting your ram to 2666 MHz with the labeled timings & voltages listed on the sides of the sticks of ram.

Well I'll check back in if anything happens again. Hoping it doesent since this pc is soon to be a shared vr computer and dont really want to have major issues after spending 1200 on a valve index lol.

    Thanks.

I just bought a CLC280 and am also having this issue. I BSOD as I get to the desktop on start up sometimes but if I am able to get into Windows I am perfectly fine. I have the same OC that was stable before with my Noctua that I ran for months and my temperatures are lower so that shouldn't be the issue.

What peripherals and case are you using? I've had a Thermaltake keyboard crash my pc (tested and confirmed, even without their software) so it's possible to have more compatibility issues than just internal components.

Adding this AIO to my system was the only change I made so it is definitely something to do with the software I think

While I don't think it works with curves for CLCs your motherboard can just set the fans to a static speed and leave it at that as an alternative option. Swiping out the fans for premium, quiet models would probably be preferable there.
