Hello forums,
I will tell you a little to help me.
I bought an EVGA RTX 2070 SUPER FTW3 08G-P4-3277-KR replacing my MSI GTX 1070TI. 2 weeks ago I installed it using the DDU program to delete the drivers and install from scratch; I was playing 2 weeks perfectly until yesterday that it worked badly.
When I turned on the computer, the whole pixelated screen was put up with mostly white and some colored dots; I forced the restart and started well afterwards.
Now what happens is that I booty the game perfectly and after a while it turns the whole black screen and forces me to restart.
I go through the RED REDEMPTION 2 DEAD; and with the MONSTER HUNTER WORLD, it does not boote, it remains on the black screen as charging. I find it strange because on Saturday I played both games perfectly.
I'm afraid it's the badge, I don't understand why, if it's new.
I had the driver 442.19 nvidia installed but to test I just passed DDU and I will install an older one 441.87 to test if it works and if it was a driver problem.
I passed the FURMARK (stresstest) program and let it run for a while, I didn't set it up because I don't know how to use it. It worked fine until suddenly black screen and I had to restart.
Will the temperature have anything to do with it?
Will it have something to do that modifies in the bios so that everything that is rgb goes out when the pc is turned off? (Erp Ready - Enable S4 + S5 / Onboard devices configuration - Rgb led lightning off)
What can be? temperature?
Thanks

The specs of my pc:
CPU: i7-8700k
Motherboard: rog strix z370-e

evga clc 280 watercooling

Are the fans on your gpu spinning up to max speed when the black screen occurs?

    Ok.

Delete the drivers, install the latest ones through the nvidia page. Yesterday I played perfect, just now in the Red Dead Redemption after 20 minutes of playing white screen.

The fans on the gpu did not ramp up to max speed? Does the issue occur when powering the card with two separate pci-e cables? Does the issue occur when running the card in debug mode?

Yes ramp to max speed and then stop.
I didn't try, should I?I use the same cable that forks in two
I did not try in debug mode, because I read that it does not do very well to the gpu, is that so?

Thanks for answering and helping me! I will do everything you tell me

Yes, please try using two separate pci-e power cables. Running the card in debug mode will not hurt the gpu in anyway.

Ok, first i will run the card in debug mode (may be de oc of the "ultra" is taking part in this problem) and tell you!.
If the problem persist i will open the computer and use a seperate pci-e power cable!

I'm going to detail everything as I do, thank you very much!!

    No problem.

Done, I put two power pci-e cables separately and put the board in debug mode. I'm going to play these days and I tell you if something happened or it was fixed!

    Thank you!

Well yesterday I played all day with the debug mode activated and I had no problem.
Then to test, I deactivated it and I got a white screen. I concluded that the problem comes from the (ultra or the oc) of the gpu.
Is there any way to correct this? so as not to activate the debug mode for life. May be from the nvidia panel can be configured.
Another thing that was happening to me is that when you turn on the PC, the fans of the gpu ramp up to max and until I open the precision X1 they do not stop or regulate

If your GPU cannot support it's advertised speeds, it's time for an RMA.

Use this Associate Code at your checkouts or follow these instructions for Up to 10% OFF on all your EVGA purchases:

The problem that the fans are going to the maximum when I start the PC occurs since I downloaded the precision x1 to solve the first problem.
I will leave two videos for you to watch.
The first video occurs spacedly, there are days that do and others that do not.
And the second video shows how the fans go to the maximum when I turn on the PC and until precision x1 does not run they are not regulated. (I repeat this happens since I downloaded this program)
None of these videos solves the problem that brought me here, that I have to run the debug mode so that I don't see a black or white screen.

It does sound like the card needs to be rma'd. If you can test the card in another know good working pc I would recommend doing that before rma'ing the card just so you can be 100% sure the card is the issue.

I also think that the GPU has no problem, because if I leave it with the debug mode activated it works perfectly.
I'm going to do that, I'm going to try it on another pc of a friend.
The other one that occurred to me is to format the PC for a clean installation.
