https://videocardz.com/newz/sapphire-quietly-makes-radeon-rx-5600-xt-pulse-faster AMD has allegedly changed the specifications of its Radeon RX 5600 XT graphics card through a BIOS update being pushed to manufacturers, according to an HKEPC report. According to the report, AMD has increased clock-speeds of the RX 5600 XT to 1615 MHz gaming and 1750 MHz boost, versus 1375 MHz gaming and 1560 MHz on AMD's CES press-event slides detailing the card. Confirmation of this comes from the product page of Sapphire's RX 5600 XT Pulse graphics card, which doesn't bear any "OC" marking in either the product name or box art, but yet has an updated specs tab, referencing the new clock speed. Increased GPU (engine) clocks isn't all, Sapphire also increased memory clock speeds from 12 Gbps to 14 Gbps (a 15% increase in memory bandwidth). Also, the typical board power ("power consumption") value has gone up from 150 W to 160 W, indicating a possible power-limit increase. These last-minute changes could probably significantly change the performance numbers of the RX 5600 XT in a bid to make it more competitive to the GeForce RTX 2060. Earlier today, it was reported that NVIDIA formally cut prices of the RTX 2060 down to $299, which would put it within $20 of the RX 5600 XT with its launch price of $279. What I find funny is that NVIDIA lowered the price of the RTX 2060 which makes me believe it was probably overpriced to begin with.

Ah yes, the back & forth that competition brings........ ...... Can you smell it ? So much better than the stagnancy of a monopoly ...

It will be interesting to see the benchmarks as well as temp changes. The AMD cards last I saw ran pretty warm so not sure how well they would handle the overclock. Also it will be important to see the overclock potential for these cards now. While a factory overclock is always great people don't like hearing that at home they can't get much out of the card in overclocking.

Dude, really? Relax man, you didn't do anything and now you're looking to start an argument? Where are AMD's raytracing enabled cards? What are they doing to push the envelop in graphics rendering technology for the consumer space? Nvidia launched these cards going on 2 years ago and they still don't have their counter ready. If anything be pissed at AMD for letting Nvidia run away with the crown and stagnating the market. Why the hell has it taken them so long to be relevant again at least in performance if not on feature sets? I wonder, if AMD is ever in a position of dominance and commanding a premium for their hardware, will you still be here trumpeting their gospel? Being a (removed) like you are is really foolhardy and misguided. The only things these companies want is your money, they aren't your friend, they won't buy you dinner and they don't care one way or the other if you live or die, all that matters is the share holders and keeping the company out of the red. edit by Cool GTX

+1 Crap!!! After all that, all i can add is i hope AMD doesnt wear the crown of both segments cause thats alot to keep up with and can destroy them pretty quickly trying to keep up with two giant companies like big blue and the green octopus. Carry on brothas.... edit Cool GTX

AMD allowed NVIDIA to stay far ahead of their GPU development because of poor management. Now that the right CEO is heading AMD they are working very hard to try and close the GPU performance gap. I believe intermediate and high level video cards from AMD are on the way. Yes NVIDIA has ampere but if the rumors are correct the 2nd gen RTX cards will be at a lower price to compete against AMD's upcoming higher spec video cards. That would make both companies and their customers very happy.
