Hi,

I setup win 10 to bring the monitor in power saving mode after 3 minutes.
Problem: Monitor does not go in power saving mode.
Maybe it is graphic card GTX 1070 FTW related?
AORUS AD27QD is the monitor. BTW worst support ever you can create a ticket and after 2 weeks maybe a reply which is not useful.
My setup:
https://pcpartpicker.com/user/dalex00/saved/#view=zvqHhM

Because i tried following win 10 setting without success:
- add extra registry
- tried different win 10 power saving setting
- change from dvi to hdmi cable
- nvidia energy options
- bios pci power options
- monitor goes into sleep when i use him with another laptop

Thanks for the help in advance!

Does your PC go into Sleep or Hibernation after a set time, or does your issue just involve the monitor?..This is kinda important to know.

And it might help to list all your system hardware and monitor.

Found the  source via following command showed me the usb controller.
After removing my mouse no hiernation and monitor sleep is working.
Super stange now i Know the source hm but how to fix it.

    Check for Last Wake Events

If your PC is waking from sleep unexpectedly and you want to know which device triggered the wake up event, then use the following command
    powercfg -lastwake

    Source

Found this fix via disabling in win system device manager
"HID-compliant game controller", display goes to sleep now

Sorry I had to cut and run, the wife wanted to go shopping.

Anyway, yeah, I was gonna say it's probably a USB device..Game controllers/joysticks are particularly troublesome if any axis has jitter (little or no 'dead zone') which is seen as an input and prevents Sleep/Hibernation.

Now, go into Device Manager -> Mice and other pointing devices -> HID-compliant mouse and in the Power Management tab of the Properties, uncheck Allow this device to wake the computer and see how that rolls.

Other devices that have a Power Management tab can be similarly disabled from waking the PC, thus preventing Sleep/Hibernation problems.
