This October, Destiny 2 is moving house, transferring itself from Activision Blizzard's Battle.net client to Valve's Steam platform. This move will coincide with the release of Destiny 2 Shadowkeep, which launches on October 1st.
So what happens to all of the characters, loot and other items that are linked to my Battle.net account? Does that move to Steam as well? That depends. Players who link their Destiny 2 accounts to Steam before October 1st will be able to keep their progress, Guardians and items. Those who don't transfer their account will lose everything. On October 1st, Destiny 2 will no longer be available on Battle.net.
Starting today, Destiny 2 players can transfer their accounts to Steam. The transfer only takes a few minutes and will require Destiny 2 players to verify their Battle.net email address and a Steam sign-in. It's stat simple. Sign-in options are also available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, which means it may also be possible for console-based Destiny 2 accounts to be migrated to Steam.

So don't forget to migrate!

I guess I need to do this.... even though I haven't played in a bit -- I don't want to lose everything I did have.

Guess I will move my copy over but the game was kind of a let down. Not bad but also not great. I think it's that people hoped for more from the studio that made Halo.

Use an Associates Code & SAVE 5% - 10% on your purchase. Just click on the associates banner to save, or enter the associates code at checkout on your next purchase. If you choose to use my code I want to personally say "Thank You" for using it.

The game was alright. I think people gave it too much flak. I played through the single player story and really enjoyed it.

I’m a pretty avid Destiny 2 player. I play pretty much both PvE and PvP but PvP is where my heart lies. It’s gotten way better since launch if that’s what you guys are comparing to. Ever since the Forsaken expansion they heave breathed new life into the game. Gone is the stupid dual primary weapon system, random rolls on weapons and gear are back, they’ve added 6v6 in PvP, new maps, better exotics, the new raids are actually really good Last Wish, Scourge of the Past and Crown of Sorrow are all great.

When Destiny 2 releases on Steam, the base game will become free to play, enabling more gamers to experience Destiny 2's content without paying a penny.
