Hi All

I Just got a 1070 FTW DT in a sale, but I notice that the backplate gets very hot. All cards that I own before never show that kind of temps (except for a X850xt severl years AGO) . Is this normal? I read in the forum that for a 1080 it is, but I want to make sure. Im not overclocking yet.

Second, what is the standard curve for the fans? they dont spin until 50 I guess, and I want to test a custom curve.

Thanks!

Yes the power section makes the back get very warm - back plate is a passive heatsink

Well, I put a fan (AMD stock cooler fan) pointing to the backplate. It activates when the cpu reach 45° also I move my sound card to other slot below my videocard. Also I have a New fancurve that spins to 60% when the gpu reaches 65°. Now everything runs fine.
