Just tried to register my 2080Ti XC Ultra from BestBuy, it has KB instead of KR suffix of the part number.

EVGA website provides no picture. Is this normal?

Thanks in advance.

KB is a Best Buy brand specific part number. Not sure about the picture, but I bet the webmaster can attach a pretty standard picture to the 2080ti XC part number in a future web page update.

Is this any different with the normal KR in terms of warranty entitlement?

Are there any hardware differences with the KB XC Ultra and KR XC Ultra?

    Warranty is the Same

You can even buy the Optional Extended warranty

If you plan on keeping this card more than 3 yr you may want the 5yr ($30) or 10yr ($60) optional EVGA Extended Warranty

You must but it in the first 90 days

But it's the same item right? XC Ultra KR and XC Ultra KB.

The only difference would probably be clocks at most.  Everything else is the same.

Both the KB and KR have listed 1650MHz boost clock (core).

And regarding the product registration, should I worry about the card not having proper pictures?

Nah, that picture is just for you to reference at a glance.

Again, I say that clocks would be the only difference at most. I put the “at most” part specifically, because Best Buy often has a model number with lower base clocks and the same part number aside from the KB. Everything else about the product is the same.

The only other time there is a big difference is when Best Buy hosts a special edition card, like the GTX 970 fallout version, which had slightly lower base clocks and a special backplate.

Best Buy has a special part number so that they can deny price matching... many stores will say “it’s a different part number, so we can’t price match that even though it is like $100 cheaper.” They don’t care that it is actually the same card and they know they paid for a different mode number just for that exact purpose.

I'm so glad I have a Microcenter here so I can avoid the shady crap Best Buy does. I avoid that place like the plague.
