Building a system for a friend he picked out the fractal design c mini and I really want to use this MB but he already bought a PSU the Evga g3 650w. I see this board has a 6+4 for cpu and an optional 6 pin for the gpu but don't think this PSU has the right cables for any of that. Just looking to confirm what I'm pretty sure I already know. Really don't want to go strix for the matx board. We are waiting for Navida to announce its new line up before buying out the rest of the parts missing MB, Cpu, Ram, gpu already purchased the rest of the components. Any advice would be appreciated. Right now plan is 8600k delided with dark rock pro 4

Looks like it should work.  What GPU ?

ACX cooler are NOT recommended for small mATX cases

EDIT for Clarity:  With Good airflow through the case to get the heat out of the case so the ACX does not "recycle heated air" any case can work

Thank you for that information. As for gpu we are waiting till at least Aug 21st to see if any new Gpus are announced if not we are going to get an evga 1070ti. Why would acx cooler now work correctly in a matx build? Will have 3 case fans 2 pull from front 1 push from rear on a fractal design mini c tg should have lots of air flow

I think Cool GTX said that due to heat being exhausted by the ACX cooler within a small space but I think it also depends on your average room temperature and the amount of intake and exhaust fans so it may or may not work for you but it definitely does not hurt to test it out.

I have no idea about your specific case & what type & number of fans your going to use @ what RPM

It was a generic comment about tiny mATX cases.

Your case, I just looked it up --> it is Bigger than I suspected based on the name & your MB being mATX

    (excerpts from link)

"Smaller than the usual Micro ATX case, the Define Mini C and its optimized interior provides the perfect base for users. The open air design offers unobstructed airflow across your core components with high performance and silent computing in mind at every step."

     "Case dimensions (WxHxD): 210 x 399 x 399 mm"

Very Nice looking smallish case (almost mid-tower looking)  ---> You should be fine, Sorry for the confusion

Yeah, the case looks to be a decent case should be a pretty build and have a small footprint as well! last thing I'm worried about is the Dark Rock 4 Pro fitting with the MB now already checked and the cooler is 163mm tall and with motherboard there is a 168mm clearance so it should fit. the MB has some really tall VRAM fins though I'm assuming no taller than RAM though so hopefully it will fit.

It’s very true that airflow matters more then case size but it really depends on the amount of heat being built up in a small area. Normally though with modern cooling and a good case that shouldn’t be an issue.
