Hello! So, i bought a second hand 1080 sc. The thermal pad mod was never applied, the card works well, but i was wondering... do you think it's possible to add the 1.5mm thermal pads AND 0.3mm copper shims to contact the ACX 3.0 fins? would it help for a better cooling? Or is it just a crazy idea?

Adding the pads & updating the vbios would definitely help the temps.

You can find the vbios update here.

1.5 mm thermal pads ?  Make sure you do not use a thicker pad than required as too thick is going to hurt thermals.

No need for a copper shim
