gtx 1070 Hybrid ftw probably dead?

I was playing counter strike today, and all of sudden my PC shut off, so i went ahead unplugged the power supply and opened the case
looked around nothing smelled/ looked bad, so i unplugged the graphic card power cord and proceeded to turn on the PC and that's when the smoke started coming out of the power port on the card, i tired another gpu i had laying around and everything seem to be working fine, i don't know what exactly happened :'( i've only used this gpu for a month playing counter strike, the temps never went above 30C under load.

    Sounds like a dead card now.. it happends and evga will take care of you. You'll have to wait till the holidays are over to call them for a rma.. after 30 days they will send you a refurbished card :/ though.

    I heard they have the best costumers service so i hope they fix it, looking foward to hear from them

    Make sure your card is registered, that's always step one

    Hmm. The pci-e power cable was fine afterwards?

    Yes that's the card i've registered it and uploaded the newegg invoice and now i'm about to go submit a ticket
    and as for the the pci-e power cable it's working just fine, it wasn't plugged into the card when the smoke came out of it, i unplugged it when the pc didn't want to turn on

    Hey there again,
     
    They accepted my RMA but the cost to send it to Germany via UPS is expensive, Costs around 170$
    so i would appreciate it if you guys would extend or move it to another date, the reason why i'm asking for this is because a family member is going through chemotherapy and the money is short.
    By the way i was contacted at the 2nd of january and my RMA code will expire in 45 days.
     
    Also i still got 2 years+ warranty on my GPU

    You need to contact evga about this.. don't expect them to see this post.
