I have searched high and low and cant figure this out.

got the 1080ti sc2 a few days ago, along with a asus maximus viii gene, all drivers and bios are updated. I'm running 3 screens and my right screen keeps cutting out ever so often, black screen for a few seconds then back to normal. I will also play dota 2, not a stressful game what so ever, and i lag uncontrollably. This also happens in PUBG and just typing this forum.Idle right now is CPU: 32 degrees, GPU 38 degrees.

Specs are:

i7-6700k
Asus Maximus VIII Gene
Evga GTX 1080ti SC2
32gb Corsair Dominator platinum
850w power supply

I cannot figure out why this lag spike keeps happening. My last build had a 1080 FTW with same cpu and did just fine. Any help is greatly appreciated. I can supply more info if needed, not sure what else to say.

It's just the right screen that flashes black? When it flashes back do you get the little picture of the connection rejoining? My display port monitor every once in a while does that and unplugging all cables and plugging them back in seem to help. Also have you monitored the card during game play maybe it's down clocking a but for some reason or soft crashing and running at low clock speeds hard to tell without being in person. It may be worth while to try use display driver uninstaller or D.D.U and remove the drivers and reinstall them

Sounds like your card may have a faulty output. Test a different monitor on the same output that your 3rd screen is currently running off of to see if it blacks out or not.

Is your right screen connected via displayport? If yes, make sure the dp cable you're using for the 3rd screen is vesa certified. Do #1 listed here to see if it helps clear up your lagging issue.

I have tried switching cables around and same result. Ill try switching the cables out and see if cable went bad from switching my 1080 to 1080ti.

I will trying the 1st step, i'm hoping it works. I'm starting to think its an overhead issue. I'm using the Corsair Carbide 240, running a push/pull aio for cpu, 1 120mm top fan and 2 80mm fans out the back. If i have the window panel on the case, temps get a little high, but the lag starts. I then tried taking the panel off and after a few minutes, its runs fine. Ill also go investigate their forums for more info.

Anymore information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
