Nice Score rlb9682   http://www.3dmark.com/compare/fs/13077938/fs/13165083

Thanks, I'm not done messing with it yet. In fact I just threw it into 4.0 to see if it would boot. I'll play with it some more later.

@sajin I Just thought I'd add this Fire Strike run here and see what you thought with the 1700x and 1080TI

Looks like something is holding your card back. Here is my single card run with my gpu clocks at stock... http://www.3dmark.com/fs/13194659

That's the interesting part; here's the compare with the same card at max 2063 clock speed with the 4790k I had and at 2050 clock speed with the Ryzen.
You can see the difference in the graphics score 30,477 with the Ryzen and 31,821  with the 4790K. The fps are all higher on all the tests with the 4790K while the physics test is much higher with the Ryzen. So at some point here it does look like the Ryzen is not allowing the gpu to reach it's potential.

Granted there's about a 10% difference, but we can see this card is capable of more with the I-7 with almost the same OC. (13mhz difference).

Nice improvement. The ryzen has a higher physics score as it's a 8 core cpu.

Maybe it is time for you to Share Your Thoughts and Points!

Clearly something is holding the cards back on the 1800x. I'm thinking it's the cpu itself.

Funny X16 for your CPU -v- X8 on the 1800x CPU why is that not a good reason as posted above.

I Know different Windows OS's could easily make a difference in how an AMD or Intel CPU works. The fanboism of Intel reeks. The only problem that i have had that could have possibly held the GPU is in SWTOR, but Battlefield games and Battlefront, and other High end games i have had no problem with my 1700. Most thing are still no properly configured for Ryzen yet, at Intel is trying to bully makers into only having programs made for Intel only, which is bs really.

I saw it, but i'm just saying there is too much fanboism for Intel in General. I havent used AMD in 20 years because Intel was better no doubt for me. But so many sites have done tests with both CPU's and both have their ups and downs now.

I think i should also test my new Rig as well, but it can get to about 100 degrees inside the house, so no one can really take that as a solid test.

EDIT: Yes Sajin, i did miss post 34, i apalogize. I only saw the first page, and then saw 34 or 24. Anyways, i hope both CPU makers make us the best chips, but i have noticed honestly that my SWTOR games has more lag, but i'm on the most populated server to. I'm hoping a New Driver will fix the graphics problem, but......

When i look further at the specs, i see a 4025 Mhz on the 1800X, and 4409 Mhz on the 5960X.
Also the Titans on the 1800X system have memory speeds of 1339 Mhz, and the 5960X system they put out 1424 Mhz.
I think that is the biggest different.
Put these two at the same level and bench again

The point of this thread was to show the fastest 1800x scores vs my 5960x. 4-4.1 GHz on the 1800x equals 4.4 GHz on a 5960x. 85 MHz off my gpu's memory clocks isn't going to close the gap.

What about resolution? I have noted Ryzen seems to dislike 1080p or lower, and from reviewers benchmarks I have seen Ryzen much more comparable while running 1440p and above. Just a thought since I did not see resolution mentioned yet

Yup! so that is reflected in the scores. Time Spy 5960X +8.8% (1440p), Fire Strike 5960X +23.8%(1080p). My last wonder is IPC comparison vs these two CPUs and how they relate to the scores.
