SR-2 Powers off after about 1 minute

I dug an SR-2 out of the pile in my house and started playing with it.
the problem i'm having is it will post and boot into any screen/media ie:memtest. but power off shortly after 
I got it to post 1 or 2 Sockets, tried memory/cpu, PSU ect.
 
any ideas would be very helpful.

    Check the chipset temps and check if there aren't any short circuits (debris in a slot for example).

    Also CPU temp.  Is the thermal paste (TIM) old or recently applied?  The CPU temp can rise quickly and cause a shutdown if high enough.

    Hey bud! If you ended up giving up on this, I've been looking for an SR-2 with problems forever. Let me know if you want to sell it, I'd love to take a crack at fixing it.
