There's no HYBRID thread that I can see, other than availability, so here it is. For starters what's everyone getting OOB for boost clocks and their ASIC scores? 1342, 71.5, and 72.3 here.

Re: GTX 980 Ti HYBRID Thursday, August 06, 2015 1:44 AM (permalink)
I have an EVGA Hybrid Ti (still sealed and planning to return back to EVGA) and at the same time I bought a Hybrid kit and put that on my PNY reference Ti, now I just overclocked my PNY Hybrid  core to 1228 the boost clock went up to 1304, now you are stating that OOB your boost clock is 1342, is that stock boost or did you overclock it because the Hybrid Ti official info says 1228 boost.   Is the boost clock different on all cards based on ASIC?

I'm a little puzzled before this PNY I tried the G1 980ti and that was 1140/1241 boost and when I applied I think +116 (1256) there were times my boost was 1504.  That card ASIC was 77.0, right now on my PNY at 1228 core, ASIC 68  the highest I have seen the boost so far has been 1414.  So the gap is  PNY 1228/1414  vs  G1 1256/1504 , makes no sense only +28 more on the core for 90 points difference in the boost.

Oh just in case someone is wondering why my EVGA Hybrid Ti is probably going back is simple I bought the PNY off someone I know for $400 and the kit cost me $124  vs the Hybrid Ti $816.  So even though I really want the Hybrid Ti I think $300 is a lot to save and the install was rather simple.

Every time I've ever bought an EVGA card since Kepler, the actual boost clock has been higher than the advertised one, including this time. This is without ANY type of OC or boost, Power or Temp Target included. In BF4, I'm able to get to 1481 stable, and I might push it to 1494, but 1506 crashes. ASIC matters, my 780s were off by like 3-4 and their OOB clocks were 13 apart. That and the different brands account for your difference.

Strange, mine is also stated 1342Mhz boost clock..I noticed last night during heaven 4.0, and shrugged it off...but this might be accurate.

That sucks man. You should be good, though, the RMA guys have their own stock.

My asic Is 73.6 and my OOB 1347. Have it stable at an oc 1508 on core 4000 on me or 180 bost to core and 500 to mem never gets hotter than 45°c on 99% load.

I'm around 55 degrees at load for both. Stable for benching or gaming, because I'm referring to gaming?

I've had mine running stock a couple of days now and I reach about 1352MHz boost on a 73% ASIC.  Cannot seem to perform any overclocking however, but I'm troubleshooting this.

Idle temps are 32-34 on GPU and 50-55 on load, the highest spike I saw was 58 but it didn't last.

    My ASIC quality is 74.2%.

I'm also running push/pull setup and as I'm typing right now watching live cams my temp on my card is 25c.

Yea, I mean the push/pull isn't needed, but I like to have my stuff running as cool as possible.

Maybe because I'm running push/pull setup.

Has to be. I'm topping off at ~51 on the hot card now that the rig is on the desk. I need to figure out how to push-pull. What fans did you get? Did you need a special screw?

I had to do a push/pull as intake to be able to mount the rad on my R4 and my idle temps are 25c and so far after 3 hours of BF4 my highest is 51c.  My card clocks however are little lower than you guys  1202 Core, 1393 Boost , 7804 memory.   I don't think I can push this reference any higher but I'm happy with the temps and the 20% overclock .

Still unsure about one of the tubes vibrating harder than the other and that is still after I changed the position of the radiator .

I lost the silicon lottery  67.5% ASIC =(   my card crashed at + 250, 225, 215  Stable at +202.   Oh and I don't have the evga card I have the PNY reference I just thought since they are both reference I could maybe match the evga hybrid.

I lost the silicon lottery  67.5% ASIC =(   my card crashed at + 250, 225, 215  Stable at +202.   Oh and I don't have the evga card I have the PNY reference I just thought since they are both reference I could maybe match the evga hybrid.

+202 is pretty good bro... You're at what, ~1530?

I had to do a push/pull as intake to be able to mount the rad on my R4 and my idle temps are 25c and so far after 3 hours of BF4 my highest is 51c.  My card clocks however are little lower than you guys  1202 Core, 1393 Boost , 7804 memory.   I don't think I can push this reference any higher but I'm happy with the temps and the 20% overclock .

Still unsure about one of the tubes vibrating harder than the other and that is still after I changed the position of the radiator .

What's your ASIC? I would think with those temps you could get another ~150MHz...

I wished!  no highest I have seen my boost is 1393.  I have a reference Ti so 1000 stock overclocked to 1202 (+202) .

Oh I see. What're your OOB boost clocks? Without any OC I mean.

to clarifying things up... the hybrid is a water cooled card. as i understand a lower asic score is better for more overclocking potential on water... so lower on a hybrid is better right? please correct me if i wrong, the asic thing is a miracle :)

    73.8% here, 1553Mhz @vstock (the screen below is +87Mv but it's ok too +0Mv)

RMA it for noise bzzzzzz weird pump sound. But at least the best 3D Card i have ever bought since i'm doing my computers 15 years ago.

25-30°C idle but this is current temps in my house so ... in burn 50 - 55+°C. With one fan down to 7V we go to 60°C, with P/P with 2x7V fans = 50-55°C. I think 12V is too noisy.

I recommand the Hybrid 980Ti if your computer is not totaly silence based it's ok.

That's the textbook answer. The way I understand it is that the lower ASIC scored cards run hotter too, requiring more voltage to achieve its clocks. I have found that all things considered, higher ASIC means better performance. That all may go out the window when delving into LN2 and the like...

So I got them stable on BF4 at 1481/7500. Next step is to push/pull the radiator to decrease temps. My goal is 1500/8000 24/7. Better than Classies would do on air.
