Hilarious. After not waiting an extra few weeks to a month on a Strix,  EVGA is telling me with a failing 3090 they don't have supervisors available!   This guy thinks he's going to charge me money to cross ship me a new graphics card after I spent 1800 dollars.  Oh we don't have anyone that can help you,  just tons of people who can charge you and offer you nothing for your troubles.  

This is likely going to be my LAST EVGA purchase ever,   I'm tempted to go just dispute the transaction with all of this data, get my money back and buy the Strix.   

At this rate I should have just kept the Asus TUF I had first!!!!     NEVER NEVER NEVER again unless they step up and do something right here. 

I freaking bought the Optimus block that's supposed to be coming soon this month for this card that seems to be less than its competitors.

They are rude on the phone,  Jacob flat out ignores people.     This is just NOT the evga  I used to be proud supporting. 
2014xx 3090 card Just poo'd the bed with red light of DOOM!

It seems like we bought a card they realized wasn't going to clock really much higher than what Jay and others got thus lowering the value of the Kingpin, so they power gimped our 1800 dollar top of the line cards!!!!!!!!!!!    You can literally take EVGA's 500w bios,  put on a 3 pin MSI card and get better performance....     

This is just sickening,  and depressing.   Mid pandemic part 2,  my super build (built this PC FOR this card)  is now down and I'm sitting on a 30 minute hold time from a condescending rep who doesn't care about my issue ONE bit.  

Took days off this week to try and take a mental health day after being flat out BURNED OUT as a non stop working IT professional.    Guess I won't be playing video games those days.

What!?!?    ok .. Now I think I was just cycled back to first level again.   

Ughhh    You might as well higher people from other countries like Dell does if you are going to hire people that don't give a crap!!

Monday there should be a supervisor, and I believe they come in at 0700 or 0800 PST. I suggest calling back and being nice while asking for them to cover the shipping if your card died right off. If it's been awhile, I wouldn't expect to get free shipping both ways unless EVGA's Jacob Freeman sees this and talks with you. This isn't Amazon after all :P

I doubt anyone would cross ship an $1800 product or any expensive product that's worth real money without some sort of collateral upfront. 
 
Wouldn't be the smartest thing to do business wise that is, percentage wise it's just asking to get ripped off.
 
I know I would never do it under any circumstances period, or sign off on it when I was in management. 
 
Customer service is one thing, blatant stupidity is something else altogether. I have seen employees and managers get fired for far less than that over the years believe me.

I spent 1800 dollars in good faith on card they clearly had issues with.  That shouldn't cost me money.  They don't field supervisors 24/7 but offer non empowered tech support reps?  That in itself is another reason to never buy EVGA again..

Just to clarify.  I have ZERO problem with a credit card hold for the cross ship.  I've done advanced RMA for everything from gaming parts to server / networking parts.     I am not being extorted additional money to get good support for being sold an bad product.  There are consumer protections against said predatory practices. 
 
 
Also for those wondering,  I have an Corsair 1200i PSU.   Slightly overkill :D

Right, just like anyone else...
 
Something goes wrong they have policies in place and protocols they have to follow.
 
Those policies are put in place for a reason.
 
Either you ship out the product to them and they send you another card once they get it or you pay whatever it is they charge to cross ship and then you get your money once they receive your card.
 
That is actually pretty standard.

So you put the phone on speaker and let it sit until they pick it up. Meanwhile you can do whatever until they answer.

You do realize it's Sunday compuclinic , yes ?  Do local shops in your area have upper management working on the weekends ?
 
You are frustrated .. it's understandable.  But coming in here ranting and raving about being ignored and insulting people won't help with your cause or your blood pressure.
 
First of all EVGA pays the shipping both ways  ,  Secondly they are not going to charge you for a second card ( they need some collateral to ensure you return the damaged/faulty card )  once the RMA process is complete they no longer need the "collateral"  seems pretty fair enough.

They used to put rude customers on speaker one place I used to work so all the people could hear how bad they really were.
 
Including the managers.....  And up even higher than that.

While I understand the frustration level here, I too would be pretty mad if my brand new card got the equivalent of the old Xbox red ring of death. But the reps you are talking to have to follow SOPS. They are not empowered to make decisions that could cost the company a whole lot of money.. 
I worked in Customer Service management for several years as well. As managers, we can make certain exceptions bases on specific criteria such as customer history, is it our fault, the potential risk of the decision etc. You blasting a CS rep that just cannot make that kind of call won't get you very far. 
Trying to get something like this handled on a Sunday is not likely. Although Jacob does sometimes step in to help people, I really don't think he is in charge of C/S. 
You clearly have been a member here for a long time so just give them some time to help you out. They do offer advanced RMA and may need to see the card move before they send a new one out. 
If the Strix you wanted had died on you, I'm sure you would be waiting a very long time to get new one or maybe even your old one fixed.

Honestly I'm surprised they have customer support on a Sunday at all. I don't think I would've even tried calling until a weekday. I get that you're upset over an $1800 GPU failing, but you've got to be a bit realistic with expectation. They probably only have few low tier techs working the weekend, so it makes complete sense that anyone with authority to make major decisions isn't available until Monday. Try to be a little patient? Maybe then you'll get the results you want.

The entitlement from OP is off the chart. They are only supposed to respond to you during BUSINESS HOURS which is usually M`F 9~5
 
If you think EVGA is bad, then you have never dealt with ASUS. You would be lucky to get an email back every 2 weeks.

🤔 haven't got a problem with talking with most EVGA Staff before, including Jacob. Not sure about what's going on recently.
Im glad everything will work out at the end but dont expect everything is going to be dine with a blink of an eye.
Please take a breather, at least you have money to spend, not many people have money to buy even food for their families.
