So more or less i turned on my computer today and i immediately got a " NO SIGNAL " on my monitor and i quickly started trying to troubleshoot but to no avail. I have tried everything. Tried all the ports on the card, different cables, unseating and then seating my card multiple times. Tried another monitor and got the same " NO SIGNAL " on all ports. I even tried starting up the computer like 30 times including without a graphics card installed and nothing has changed. I finally relented and installed my backup old 1080 Ti card and of course everything is working fine to my horror. I then proceeded to uninstall any recent update from Windows and installed the latest Nvidia drivers and then tried with the 3080 Ti again but same issue. So now i am left with what i feel like is the only option of calling EVGA and requesting an RMA. I really do not want to do this considering i had to wait a year for an Nvidia 3080 series card. I have only had this for two freaking months and i am very displeased to say the least. Does anyone have any and all thoughts on what i can try to do here to further troubleshoot this?

What are the specs of your system? Z390 boards can result in a black screen if resizable bar is enabled and CSM is enabled.

I mean, my older gtx 1080 ti is working fine but i will take a look for any loose cords i suppose.

RJBARKER, I CANNOT DIRECTLY REPLY TO YOU but yes i do have multiples. Mostly everything is running through RGB fusion minus my EVGA which is running through Precision X1. why do you ask?

Multiple RGB software running like running multiple monitoring software can result in conflicts between them and display flickering to black screen etc....much like having Afterburner and Precision loaded at the same time.

I'm assuming prior to this you didnt update / flash bios or clear cmos or reset bios to default config? As in Mobo has set itself to Integrated Graphics by default. Double check bios...

Try uninstalling Precision X1..msi afterburner..and multiple RGB software..Asus Aura .... iCue ...etc...shut down, power off your psu count to 10, flip the switch to on (psu) and try powering up .....also as someone else mentioned double check that all 3 PCI-E GPU power cables are firmly seated at both ends (GPU and PSU)......

Also....can you boot into W10 safe mode?

So here is the thing though, I don't actually run X1 on boot. I just used it to update the Bios of the card so i could enable resizable bar. Otherwise, it does not run. The only RGB software i have running at boot is RGB fusion. I will uninstall X1 and try uninstalling MSI afterburner and rgb fusion to troubleshoot. I will check on the loose cable thing for sure. So no, when 3080 ti is installed all i get is NO SIGNAL. I cannot do anything as there is not BIOS screen nor desktop. Computer works but i cannot see anything so i can't boot into anything other than desktop but again i can't see anything. BTW, why can't i see a quote function for you RJBARKER?

P.S. i am sure it is nothing but the one thing i noticed when booting into BIOS with 1080 Ti is that CSM SUPPORT on Gigabyte BIOS is enabled but i am sure that is because the 1080 Ti is installed. Should i disable it anyways and maybe try reseating my 3080 Ti?

If i have the 3080 Ti seated i cannot use any hdmi or display port as they just don't function. If i remove the 3080 Ti card i can plug into the integrated hdmi motherboard port and things work. Otherwise all i can do is plug in my old trusty 1080 Ti and that works fine. I am an idiot. I see what you are saying. I have the Intel drivers now and later today i will try this with my 3080 installed, good idea.

Nothing works when 3080 Ti is seated. None of the 3 DP ports work nor the HDMI on the card nor the integrated HDMI PORT on the motherboard until i remove the 3080 Ti. So i am flying blind otherwise since i get no signal.

To boot on integrated graphics with a GPU installed, you may need to go into bios and select integrated graphics to be used.  If left on Auto the MB may select the card.

If you can get a full reading of the card in HWiNFO and Device Manager that might tell you something.

So i seated the 3080 Ti again after checking to make sure the PCI-E cables we're not loose on the PSU and no matter if i had both the DP and HDMI connected or just the HDMI to the motherboard hdmi port i get a "NO SIGNAL" display. As soon as i reconnected the 1080 Ti i can get a signal with just the hdmi connection that plugs directly into the motherboard. I confirmed that the integrated setting is set to ENABLED in the bios just now and have both the 1080 Ti DP and HDMI to motherboard both work when i switch to them on the monitor. I feel like this 3080 Ti card is just plain dead. For what it is worth i did try switching bios profile on the card from NORMAL TO OC and still no signal.

Does anyone know if it is even worth trying a restore point to an earlier date before my card seemingly died?

Bummer man. Just to be clear, with the 3080 Ti installed, you can't post into bios on the integrated gpu?

If it's not posting on the IGPU try:

    - running a MB bios flash to the latest version

    - Reviewing all the Rebar bios setup step such as "CSM Disabled" with a GPT boot drive and above 4G encoding enabled, then enable rebar

    - trying an entirely different PSU with its cables.

Bummer man.  No Post with the card installed is pretty much the nail in the coffin, it is bad enough that the MB is hitting a "vga error" (there may be an troubleshoot light) and not posting.  You've done your due diligence and can RMA the card.

If it's not posting, the only other things to try are running a MB bios flash to the latest version, and trying an entirely different PSU with its cables.

Thanks for the replies man, much appreciated. I feel the same way, i can't see EVGA not doing approving an RMA. I would not feel like swapping out my PSU because that would be a huge ordeal since the only other one i have is not modular and everything seemingly works fine with the PSU and older 1080 Ti card. And yep, on the latest BIOS.

EDITED TO SAY: I did notice that CSM support on my Gigabyte motherboard with 1080 Ti installed says it is set to AUTO. Should i disable that and then try installing the 3080 Ti one more time?

Sorry I rethought this reply, see the edited post above.  You may have something funny with the MB bios settings vs. CSM vs. rebar bios.  Make sure that your OS drive is in GPT and CSM is disabled.

With the 1080 Ti installed i did notice that CSM SUPPORT says it is set to ENABLED, should i straight up disable it? Otherwise Resizable bar is enabled when i have my 3080 Ti installed and actually working. Keep in mind that i have had resizable bar enabled for several weeks before this incident 2 days ago and had no weird issues before then.

Oh yeah, I would definitely not leave CSM on auto. No way. Not saying that it is the issue, but I would not leave that to chance. Set Disabled for sure.

Also make sure your OS drive is GPT just as a sanity check.  You can boot a GPT drive with CSM enabled, but can't boot a MBR with CSM disabled.  Though I don't think rebar would have ever worked without it being GPT / CSM disabled.

Solomon87i did notice that CSM SUPPORT says it is set to ENABLED

This could potentially prevent a MB from posting with a rebar bios GPU, but I don't know for sure.

What are the specs of your system? Z390 boards can result in a black screen if resizable bar is enabled and CSM is enabled.

So, just a happy update. My 3080 Ti is not dead, hurrah! Otherwise, **** if i know what was causing the issue other than i did disable CSM but it did not solve my " NO SIGNAL " ISSUE. What fixed my issue is a mystery other than i can tell you that my BIOS literally **** itself after i disabled resizable bar, it did not like me doing that man. I saved the bios changes, restarted and the computer booted up with my DP cable plugged into my 3080 and i saw the light!!!! However BIOS threw a big ole fit on screen saying that i needed to choose how to reset bios because something was not right with it. After loading defaults the 3080 Ti's heart beat became loud and clear on the monitor, i am beyond thrilled besides BIOS ****ting itself for no good reason. I am afraid to enable resizable bar again but if i do i will make sure to disable CSM. Thanks for all your help KEVINC313! RJBARKER! And others.

Yeah I recently upgraded from a 3080 to a 3080ti Hydrocopper and had the same issue. I ended up having to reset the CMOS and it worked.  Couldn't tell you what was causing it, but it clearly it did not like me changing GPUs.

Wow congrats!  Glad it all worked out.  Really highlights the importance of reset MB bios as a troubleshooting step in a no-post situation, as other people touched on above.

Sound like the next step is to check if you have GPT boot drive, which will allow disabling CSM.
