drewski989My comment is more for those who have all day to complain, but not to take matters into their own hands. I did a search on a particular member of the discord I belong to... easily 30 posts a day, 95% of them complaining about bots/scalpers/NVIDIA, and always "just missed" a drop here or there. Fair enough. This is an issue where you see it through the lens of those around you. I don't hang out on Discords where people constantly complain about it presumably without acting. I do hang out with friends who I know would very much like a new card but aren't going to make card hunting their new job. I think that's a fair decision and shouldn't preclude them from recognizing that a trashy situation is trash. There's a weird vibe from the aggregate of the community where people get told both (a) there's so many worse things than not having a new GPU so shame on you for caring and being upset and also, conversely, (b) if you don't have a new GPU, it's your own fault for not dedicating your life to getting an RTX 3080 because, if you really cared, you'd be swimming in GPUs by now. I think there should be plenty of healthy middle ground where you (a) do what you can within your reasonable limits and also (b) are allowed to be reasonably frustrated while implicitly recognizing that not having a 3070 beats losing the family farm to locusts or contracting leprosy. Let people vent and offer them support, if only a "Yup, it sure does suck, hang in there".
Yep, it can suck. Just hang in there. For whatever reason, empathy is harder to express than enthusiasm or scorn. Don't fret it.

I know this may seem really late but is this normal or should I contact support about not being notified at my turn? For two sku models in the 3080 model range, 3883 and 3881, I have entered dates of 9/16/2020 9:07:11 PM PT 9/16/2020 9:06:59 PM PT and based on Enewt's spreadsheet for the NA queue, people past me have reported their notification for the two queues already. Just wanted to know if other people had their queue past without notification or is it just me. or am I misreading the list etc. Thank you.

You are likely mixing up am/pm... the 3883 is at 9.16 at 11AM PST, for example. You are closer on the 3881, which is at 9.16 at 3PM PST

Ah, I did not realize it was in PM, my bad. For some reason I thought I got it in during the AM hours lol. All good, I am currently less than 10 seconds for the 3898 queue and that is the one I would like the most.

Your registrations are PM. Both the 3883 and 3881 are still before 9 pm PT, so on my summary the queues have not reached you. North American Notify Queue Summary Edit: Yikes, Drewski answered it already. AM vs. PM...its a doozy! Good luck!

Yep, I did a double take on that as well. Newt is reporting on a 24 hour clock. Also, his queue sheets are not official. Someone could jump in here and say I got a card at x time. I think he'd sniff it out eventually, but the only official thing is that notify sent flag of "Yes" and the email. I check the notify page first, because who knows where your email might go if you didn't white list the evga mailer (aka know how to do that).

I think my record is two bad reports (one where somebody reported in Eastern Time vs. Pacific Time and another where somebody misread their "my notifies" page). In both cases, I didn't catch it immediately but it was fixed within a few hours. I err on being extra conservative so as to avoid situations where folks looking at my summary erroneously conclude that they've been skipped. I have yet to hear of a confirmed instance of EVGA skipping anybody; they've been doing a k!ck @ss job on that front....

24 hour clock messes with a lot of people (especially in the US). I switched to it a while back as my default and I like it better. Welp it's 17 and that means quitting time...

so, just to clarify things, the time shown for each GPU, is PACIFIC STANDARD TIME, correct? is the time shown in "My Notifies" also in pacific time? or does that show the time i put my notification in from my own current time zone (Central Standard Time)? sort of confused. i'm sure someone explained it in the 988 pages of this thread... it doesn't really matter, as i'm sure i will get the email notification when i'm next in line, but, just wondering. Thanks!

For sure, you're doing a fantastic job, on your own time at that. I imagine eVGA is likewise being 100% methodical with the only small hiccups being when someone was unavailable to get to that email within the window. Quick follow-ups by the window misser seem to be resolved at 100% from what I've seen as well. The one caveat I'd throw out about the time tracker is it is likely very accurate in heavily congested times. What I mean by that is, when you start seeing the queue you're in jumping by 24+ hours, get excited. It may seem like you are still 48+ hours out, but due to the relatively small percentage of people here who report back, the variance is likely very high on actual last time sent a notify vs last time reported here in this thread. Just a little ray of hope as some of the queues have started making bigger jumps.

Agreed. Low registration periods results in potential for greater lag behind actual head of the queue. But that means that the next report may bring better news than it should. :)

All I know is that I'm losing faith in getting through the next 2 days on the 3897 queue before the 16th. I mean, I hope it's going to happen, I just don't have much faith in it. (That said, it's not like that's going to stop me from BUYING it -- it'll still be cheaper than using the scalpers, right? Just frustrated.)

Get a 960/970/980. The price ranges from 140-220+. A 980 ti is around 360ish mark. That's the best bang for your buck imo currently. The next step would be a 1660 Super which is around 400ish atm. If you can buy it when stock drops at BB/Newegg, you can probably get it for low 300ish.

^^^This! Good advice here. This is exactly what I'd do. The 1660ti (or a super) is a fine card to tide you over with a solid 1080p gaming experience. I have had the PNY one for $300ish in my cart. I was fumbling around with which store to pick it up at, and they sold out, but I think if I'd just immediately checked out with default options, I would be able to soon pick it up at a store. I have also seen the 1660 cards restock on best buy on days other than their usual (but also occasional, as in they often take a week or two between) Tuesday and Friday drops.

Lots of reported Step 2's on the step up sheet yesterday! After eleven days of no movement we appear to have at least 27 or 28 Step 2's on 3/30, and at least one on 3/31: I know it doesn't help many in this thread, but I'll take it as an encouraging sign of potential things to come...

scinceday1 Ok ladies and gents with my nearest notify at 10/14/20 for the 3885 I am contemplating buying an old card to hold me over. Right now I am using the onboard that came with my cpu which is the Intel® UHD Graphics 630 . Any recommendation's as I'm thinking I am at least 6 months out to get a 3080 ???
Good Looking out folks I appreciate the advice.

soulstyce612 Lots of reported Step 2's on the step up sheet yesterday! After eleven days of no movement we appear to have at least 27 or 28 Step 2's on 3/30, and at least one on 3/31: I know it doesn't help many in this thread, but I'll take it as an encouraging sign of potential things to come...
Movements of which sku we are talking about here? Please! I hope 3080.. 🙏

It's funny, I've never had the desire to spend $2000 on a video card but yesterday I signed up for Newegg's shuffle for 2 of the 3090's out of desperation. After I signed up i was like, so what happens when you win it? You going to buy the damn thing? LOL I suppose I will and then just spend the next 2 years justifying it in my head.

Anyone know how many of the cards have failed to move past their first signup day? If EVGA fails to even fulfill launch day sign ups before the coming price hike.... wow....
