I had gotten an order in for a Gigabyte 3080 sold by Amazon on 01/28 with an estimated delivery date of today... Still hasn't shipped. Found an email saying it's been delayed
 
I prefer EVGA stuff anyway but this was disappointing to say the least.

day after day, still no movement from the low end skus, and movement of the others have slowed to a crawl. So it seems EVGA is severely limiting supply to avoid selling at their original price points.
 
don't be surprised when the queue starts moving a lot faster right after that deadline...

It would not make business sense for EVGA is holding back cards to avoid selling at the original price. If EVGAs goal was to sell all the cards at the new price, it could have just said the new price applies to everyone in the queue because EVGA's costs increased due to the new U.S. Government tariffs.
 
Almost certainly, EVGA and the other card makers are shipping the cards out as quickly as they can, and the delays are due to lack of parts. As frustrating as it is to wait for scarce cards, it is not fair to ascribe bad motives without proof. We don't know what is going on. Production of the chips may have been slowed due to employee absence due to COVID and/or there may have been production slowdowns due other manufacturing problems.

i said last week now that i am 2 seconds away from 3898, we won’t see anything for 2 weeks, because that’s my luck. and i’ll be in mexico on vacation. so again, knowing my luck; i’ll have to watch emails on vacation in another country, OR it gets delivered while i’m gone so someone will have to grab it for me. *frustration continues* but i remain optimistic that is not the case.. 1 week down

I hear there's alot of WHINE in mexico.

i waited 4 months in summer for a helmet to be made. i can do it again. we all can! just thankful these forums exist to keep some of us sane. as for the mexico whine, i do hope it’s coming from superchargers, i’ll keep my cool. haha

not true. if youre goal is peoples perception of you, then you would not raise the price. 
the only way to know would be to see the hard numbers and see how many are going out per day / week and a total of queued people.

jacob said no plans for that card which sucks because I only am 1:30 from it

I thought Jacob said there was going to be some hybrid 3898 this week
