Congratulations and thanks for reporting back to the thread. Your watch is quickly coming to an end. Thank you also for the kind words and for using my Associate’s Code for the 3% discount; both are really appreciated. Congratulations on your new card!

Even 21 seconds of movement would be huge considering the huge backlog of early spots. Good luck

I got myself a 3090 but not with eVGA, to say I'm disappointed would be an understatement. Folks out there in queues like mine that are not getting made, don't waste your time waiting if your queue hasn't moved in 4 months no amount of time is going to make a difference. The reality is you're going to wait for a different card or a different vender. I waited as long as I could and it makes my eye twitch spending this much money for a graphics card. But it's time to give someone else a try. I did pick up a couple eVGA PSU and mobo last year, much love eVGA!

disappointing that no 3888s dropped this week. I am hoping the 3888s don't become like the air cooled non-ftws and sit for months with no movement. I don't have that great a spot in the 9898 que meaning again it could be months before I get a card. And like many others on here can't play the f5 game. O well first world problems I guess back to finding things to watch on Netflix until I can get a card lol

Fry's was my go to store back when I lived in Dallas (I moved to Alaska 20 years ago) I haven't been down to visit the in-laws in a few years, so I haven't made a Fry's trip lately (they all like coming here in the summer for some reason) but it makes me sad to hear that it has declined so much over the past few years. I still have a K6-2/500 mhz processor i picked up at fry's way cheaper than anywhere else in my outdated processor pile... Fry's used to be my goto store in Arlington. But that place is picked out, so is Plano and Irving. Empty shelves everywhere. It must have started in 2020 because I went in 2019 and they had full shelves. Even though Dallas has Microcenter and Best Buy, this queue system is better because I don't want to wait in line for hours and end up with nothing.

Thanks for the kind words. I do appreciate them. It's funny...back in late October (maybe early November) we had a disagreement in this thread about whether we should be congratulating each other on securing a card (it is both a first world oddity and it does clog up the thread a bit). My point, at the time, was that we have formed a community within this thread and gosh darn it...if at the end of months of waiting you get your card and the community goes on as if nothing had happened...its a bit underwhelming. We need to celebrate the small wins...even if much of it is due to the semi-random chance of how early somebody clicked a button on a website. But the small wins of others, in my opinion, celebrate the effort of the watch, giving the finger to the scalpers and, in no small measure, lift up the rest of us who remain on our watch (at least it does for me). So congratulations to folks who secured cards today -- even if you didn't report back to the thread and even if you had to settle for a non-EVGA card. And for those of us that remain on the wall, huddle up, stay warm...it looks like we will be here awhile. Happy Friday everybody!

Daily reminders for folks: Good luck on the drops today guys:
- Don't forget to use an Associate's Code during checkout, it will save you 3% off your GPU purchase, and up to 10% on other purchases. All you have to do is use the code at checkout (a few useful ones: Mine: 47AQQ6KPU2IZNXY - Enewt's: VDN2319M4O569J4 ) or click the links there & it will make a cookie to insert the code automatically during checkout, then when you receive your card, be sure to register it & upload your invoice from the EVGA order page.
- Keep in mind if you're ordering a Hybrid card: the tubing is 400mm in length, and the radiator + fan combo is about 56mm thick; Hybrid card radiator exhaust can be in excess of 34-38C air, having it setup as intake is not recommended even in a CPU AIO/GPU AIO setup, as unless you have a very high core count CPU that puts out more than 400W of heat, the GPU radiator will always be the hotter of the two.
- If you purchase a card elsewhere, it's best not to remove your notify queues until you receive the card, just to be on the safe side, as if you do remove it then have to requeue, you would be at the back of the line. Once you receive your card & remove yourself from other queues, kindly let us know which cards you removed yourself from queue for, so that others in those queues know they've effectively moved up a spot.
- It is recommended that you have, at the bare minimum, a quality 750W (or in my opinion, 850W) PSU for a 3080, and at least a 850W (or in my opinion, 1000W) PSU for a 3090, especially if you plan to overclock your CPU and/or other components at all. Keep in mind that OCed CPUs quickly go up in power draw in most cases, i.e. a 95W TDP CPU like a 9900K can get up to 170-190W of draw from a simple 5GHz OC like mine. Even if you're running a 3080 on a stock system, I would definitely recommend against going with less than 750W at a bare minimum, just to avoid any future issues.
