DancesWithRock I've been tracking the 3080 hybrids and 3060 Tis because I thought I had good position there, but would've have NEVER expected to receive a notification for the 3070 Ultra Gaming. Will share my time in a second for reporting.
Sorry if this has been asked before, but does purchasing 1 card (in my case, the 3070 Ultra Gaming) remove me from any of my other queues? My understanding was only 1 purchase per SKU and that's it (I heard Jacob say '1 per card'). Meaning, I should still be able to get the 3080 I want. Can anyone please confirm?
Congratulations and thanks for reporting back. No, it does not remove you from the other queues. You are only limited to one unit per sku.

Whichever email I get first I'm buying instantly hopefully it's in the near future. It's gonna be a huge upgrade from my 770 which is paired with a R5 3600😂
I remember upgrading from a Strix 780 OC to my current Strix 1080 OC and that was night and day performance. Your upgrade is going to be life-changing game-changing for you.

Looks like you are about an hour and forty minutes closer now than when you woke up this morning...and there may yet be further reports later today that move that queue further along.

razierklinge You would think the hybrid's would move a bit quicker than other queues because they aren't being sold anywhere else, right?
Right now the Hybrid 3080 FTW3 is in the area where the queue was actually open to everyone & the site wasn't crashing anymore. You can expect the next few minutes to move slowly, then it'll thin out as the day progresses forward after that. That's pretty much how the 3090 FTW3 Hybrid went, but to a lesser extent because it's more expensive & thereby a less queued for card.

Correct. And assuming that they continue to get made as they have been, I would expect the 3090 XC3 Ultra to dramatically increase in velocity through the queue timeline...I just get the sense that if folks are going to buy a 3090 Hybrid, they are going to choose the FTW3 over the XC3....

Yeah just like they said it may be constrained til the end of Q1 :-D NVidia are going to keep kicking the can down the road until the refresh comes out. Just watch. And that's not being negative, that's being realistic. First they said "before the end of the year" then "by the end of Q1 2021" (aka March), now it's May. They'll keep moving the goal posts for when "supply should be back to normal" and it'll never happen for this series of cards.

Personally I don't get why you would want an XC3 of the 3090 specifically, it's so power gimped by only having 2 plugs, just makes no sense from a "I want the best GPU possible" standpoint to buy something that's going to be capped at ~375W or so (2 150W 8-pins, 75W PCIe slot power). I would assume because of this, the XC3 is going to fly compared to the FTW3 Hybrid, if you're already spending $1600+ there's no logical reason to not go full on & get the FTW3, unless someone is pushing their budget just to get the XC3, in which case they shouldn't really be getting a 3090 imo to begin with.

even though some don't agree, this is exactly what Nvidia wants. It keeps their name out there and in the news cycle. They have no need or want to meet demand ASAP, since they know you are getting the card regardless.

This does not surprise me. NVIDA knew this before launch but as much as they talk is all PR BS. Actions always speak louder then words. Truth is stock holders don't care who buys the product they just care about the return on investments. If they cared about the consumer for gaming graphics cards they would have done something more to limit the amount of bots that purchased products. And to be honest this is a small amount of the larger company and though it is profitable is not the only thing that keeps them in business. If I was a larger share holder I would be disappointed that they launched the product at such a low price. Given the current market demand they could have made way more on the cards and could have charged what the scalpers are charging and made all that money driving up their stocks. As a consumer I will be glad because they could have and should have drove up the prices long ago but did not. So I can still get the product at some point in time for less then could be spent on it.
They certainly left money on the table. But, for folks who were smart enough to click the auto-notify button early, they got the equivalent of a windfall with a "below market" price on their queued card. But for the rest of us...yeah...this suuuuuuuuucks.

I'm waiting on the hybrid 3090 XC3... and yeah, the power gimp is not amazing. I'd rank the card 5th in what I would actually get, but if I get the chance to buy it without any of my top 4 being available... Yeah, I'll pull the trigger. See if I can apply some undervolting and cross my fingers that the GPU responds well to that. Compared to the 3080 hybrid, it is probably still (at best) paying $600+ for maybe 10% performance and knowing that 24 gigs of RAM will let me add any and all mods to Skyrim VR :D
