Sorry to hear- everyone was focused on the combos so I went after the solos and the EVGA 3090 was in stock

I gave a shot at scoring a card on the newegg restock and couldn't get past the bots, every time I hit 'add to cart' I got 'There's a problem, try again later.'

Very frustrating.
 

 
I signed up for HotStock, and just had desktop notifications going.. and that's what got me luck. No bots used. (just a data-point)

Most people I've seen getting 3080 FTW3 cards from Newegg have gotten black and not red.  That said, it seems as though everyone is gonna get taken care of based on this reply from Jacob - https://twitter.com/EVGA_...us/1338554107653574657

Indeed.  Given that I've been commenting on that news in the Kingpin-related threads, I meant it as a little tongue-in-cheek.  Next time I will use an emoji.

For those folks who have received cards with the red clown lips and want a change...nothing definite to report in terms of process or timing, but @EVGA_JacobF did tweet: send an email to redtrim@evga.com (make you you have registered your card at EVGA.com and include your serial number in the email).  I hope that helps those of you that need a change...at this point, I'd take an EVGA 30 series with blue lips....  

Just an FYI, I already received an email response back from Jacob about them sending a new shroud out to replace the red lips.
I didn't expect the response to come from Jacob himself... thanks as always for all that you do Jacob.
 

I emailed them and got a response back in less than an hour! It’s great to see it’s a complete shroud, not just a small bottle of black nail polish. 😉. And to be serious, it’s a great thing for them to do for their customers! 👍

That is great news.  Options for people who need them.  I wonder what the uptake will be?

I will just get it out of my chest, since the current situation is so unusual for us clients who just wants to get cards to finish their rigs and so, why Evga still supply channels filled with bots while we are all here in a line that only one client can get one card per model at least, Evga should honor that more than filling other channels where one guy can get 50 cards. Both ways evga will sell their stock, it's about giving 50 cards to 50 different people not one greedy guy cause of some agreement with a store in a pandemic time where greed found a way to ruin it for everyone, I have always and will be thanking evga for the queue system but it doesn't make sense while sending cards to other stores knowing so well it's a direct sell to bots.

Again thank you evga for the efforts and wish you all a happy drop this week I hope, happy vacations for everyone and may 2021 be a better year.

They likely have retailer agreements with those places that they have to send them a certain amount or percentage.  While these cards are hot items, EVGA sells lots of other items at those same retailers and they likely don't want to risk losing that sales market for all those other items by defaulting on their agreement.

On average, how long are people waiting in the queue for 3080's? I've been in the queue for a FTW Ultra Gaming for almost 3 weeks now. Just curious.

Been in queue for 3080 FTW3 ULTRA for a month now. There are people from September still waiting on their cards from what I know. 

Guess I'm in it for the long haul, LoL. Oh well, that's OK. Unless I luck out and snag one from Newegg or Amazon (unlikely)....

I've been trying to snag one from Newegg for the last few days. I can't beat the bots.

Unfortunately, it is likely to move a lot slower than that.  You are likely looking at late January at the earliest.  Sorry I don't have better news.

I don’t get how people can do the stock alert madness. It’s so draining. Honestly my advice is just wait for your queue and forget about all the ampere madness
