I have several notifications set up since 9/23 and I haven't received any notice. I'm using Gmail.

Most people reporting today signed up 9/17 or 9/18, so you got a bit to wait. :D

20,000 lol. Jacob said they had over 50,000 people on the notify list BEFORE this announcement and I lost my spot. Late December or mid January I think. Adorama is last hope.

Just out of curiosity, where did you see this comment about 50,000 people? Checked twitter and forums but couldn't find it. Not saying it's not true, but would be great to see it direct from Jacob.

I'm seeing some people with this issue, grain of salt obviously since it may be case by case. When I reentered the autonotify form it says that I previously entered this form on October 5th at 8 something PM. I am 99.99% sure I originally completed the auto-notify form 1-1.5 weeks ago (after the 3090 benchmarks came out and I decided I wanted to go with the 3080 and the Watercool announced blocks for the XC3 and possibly the FTW3), and definitely not at 8pm (I'm eating or watching Netflix). I think it counted another attempt and not my original. I added the 3090s just to test and they showed the right time (after that system was implemented). IDK if there is any way to determine if this was made in error or if I'm just SOL?

Sam exact problem I had. It's like the new date overwrote the old one.

No system is perfect. Please keep that in mind. And of course there are exceptions to all well intended ideas.

A member brought that "Tells you when you "Last" submitted the Auto Notify" idea to the forums. No one knows if that is the "Set in stone, cannot look back further" time stamp or not.

EVGA has said, several times now. They will go with the earliest entry. We just have to trust and appreciate. Debating about it for another 30 pages may not change any of the outcomes.

Enjoy the ride!

Re: New EVGA.com Notification Checkout Process 2020/10/07 11:32:07 (permalink)
Does anyone have any sort of feelings on how far out I would be if signing up for FTW3/FTW3 Ultra on 9/21? I would be content getting my email by Christmas. That wouldn't be so terrible. I just hope the que system is a large enough success that they keep it implemented! I can't F5 warrior anymore, this que system really saved me in SO many ways and I feel like it also shows how much EVGA cares, which goes a very long way! I was already a fanboy of EVGA but after this, even more so. Now I feel like I don't have to be so desperate. Not having a GPU at all anymore (didn't see this 3080 craze coming lol) I am eager to get back to gaming but I think EVGA deserves my money for making this que system a reality, especially for those of us that didn't stand a chance against bots and sitting here day after day after day for hours waiting on RNG. I just really hope I can see one by Christmas! That would be a dream! I am sooooo bored  at least my blood pressure can get some rest now that I won't be F5ing Newegg/Best Buy/Amazon anymore hah.

It's all good maaaaan . I'm grateful this system exists at all. Glitches happen and this was obviously done in record time. I'll get a GPU eventually.

Curious to know what the average number of notifications there are in a 30 min time frame and average units per drop. I am sure evga knows this information. Would save a lot of speculation from people. By the current FTW3 Ultra rate, it seems a 1-2 hours notify  range will take more than 2 restockings.

Well they went from Start of Notify of 9/16/2020 (forgot the time) to about 9/17/2020 7AM in two releases.

I would guess that since we were all hanging out early in morning on the faithful day of 9/17/2020 there is a huge amount of people between 7AM and 9AM(release Time)... Than a large amount of people after the disaster release when the site went back up around 9:30 AM and on.

Not including the large influx of people the last two days that signed up.. So I would guess those two dates have the largest amount of people.. And the dates inbetween re scattered.

I haven't heard of anyone buying a 3090 since release day. It's a bummer. I couldn't get through the checkout process that morning, even though my bank verified and everything. Then I never signed up for notify because it's usually pointless. So now the long wait begins. It seems like 3090s are going to be much scarce than 3080 (which of course makes sense, since they are the same chip but have more active units). I'd love to know how often they are going to get them and how many at a time, but we probably won't know that. It would be nice to see some or any at all go out at this point. Sigh..

When did the 3080 FTW3 Gaming and Ultra pages go up? It's claiming I didn't register for auto notify until 9/21, but I registered for the ICX3 on 9/16. That doesn't make sense to me unless the FTW3 page wasn't up on the same day as I did the auto notify for the cards I would buy at the same time. I only registered for the FTW3 Gaming, so based on what I'm seeing, that card isn't available yet because people are getting Ultras. I didn't want to pay more for an Ultra as it seemed wasteful.

As much as I enjoy this process compared to the current process.  I feel all of us poor saps who had items in our cart but couldn't check out are still out of luck.  I didn't sign up for the Auto Notify because everyone said it was useless - they still had to duke it out with the rest of the bots.  I did, however, have an item in my cart and was in the process of checking out and failed to complete that due to the inadequate shopping solution implemented by EVGA.

  • Each card apparently has its own queue, just ignore the ones you don't want and wait for the one you do to pop up.
  • Still 1 card per household so once you make a choice it seems the system boots you/prevents you from purchasing anything else. Choose carefully, especially if you get in on this early.

This is not correct -- you  might want to edit your comment, the limit is per model number, not per card family. You apparently can order 1 of each model.

Got an ftw3 ultra order in this morning! My notify time was 7:10 on the 17th if that helps with pinpointing just where in the release day hump the queue is right now.

I'm pretty sure ultra went up on the 16th (afternoon?) and non-ultra in the morning of the 21st. I don't believe there have been any non-ultras in stock at all yet, via the queue or the store otherwise.

They probably only got FTW3 Ultra stock in yesterday, and that kicked off the new queue system. I bet they'll send the other model emails as soon as stock for them is ready (whenever that is, who knows).

You redo the auto-notify process for the same card and you see your original time and date.

I was hoping that to be the case, but people on the spreadsheet are claiming to have signed up for it on 9/16-9/19. Since the Gaming isn't even available, it will probably take a while.

They haven't even made it through the morning hours on 09/17 yet, lol. Might be a week or two at least, because my guess is the lion's share of people prior to the announcement signed up on release day. It'll actually probably move faster once it's off the 17th and then slow down again as it gets closer to toward. If EVGA wasn't lying about ramped up stock in october (because either they or Jensen were lying), then I'd be optimistic that everyone on the 17th and 18th might get one by the start of November if they're moving a good number of cards over October. Outside of that, well, I guess we'll see.
