Really excited for the 3070 XC3 Black to drop soon. I am :44 seconds and it's at :27 seconds. I can't wait.

Hopefully the queue moves fairly quickly for 3090 FTW3 Ultras

That would be driving me nuts to be that close to order time and still not order

I'm just being patient. Really looking forward to the improvement in performance from the 1080 TI to the 3070 and then once I get the 3090 later on it's go time. Hopefully tomorrow will be the day, but if not that's ok.

The 3070 XC3 Black is still in the middle of the launch day congestion.  That said, there is a real chance that its next drop will include your name.

With respect to the 3090 FTW3 Ultras, that queue is through both congestion periods (the card's launch and the announcement of the queue system)...it is going to start steamrolling through hours and days.  However, because I suspect that there are more registrations for that queue than the 3090 XC3 Ultra, the XC3U has a real chance of catching the FTW3U and even pulling ahead.

Best of luck; I hope you secure your card soon!

Yup...you are smack dab in the middle of launch day rush hour.  But you are going to get there...and soon!  Good luck tomorrow!

I went from a 1080 Ti FTW3 Hybrid (and a small stint with a step-up card I bought, 2070 Super, which is pretty much the same or slightly less performance than a 1080 Ti) to a 3080, so far from what I've seen in games I've played substantially, the difference is huge, especially since I'm at 3440 x 1440 so the 1080 Ti had issues in some games maintaining 60FPS.

Just got done replaying the Mafia series, Mafia 3 was definitely a pleasant surprise, I was expecting another 8-10 hour game, not a 40-hour GTA V meets Watch Dogs 1 type open world with actual free roam in it etc.  Had to figure out a crashing issue that was the game itself, but other than that, very fun (for anyone that has similar issues, unfortunately I had to cap my frame rate at 60FPS, apparently FPS/frame time spikes, because I was getting north of 120fps most of the time, were what was causing the game to crash completely).

i'm playing at 3440 x 1440, but my 1080TI is keeping up quite a bit. Like, Destiny 2, all maxed out is for the most part 60-80fps. there are some areas, like when it's a blizzard on Europa that's putting me in the mid 50's but yeah. I can't get GTA V though to run adequately for the life of me, so i just gave up on that game for now

So I'm actually not sure anymore if I want to go with an EVGA 3080 FTW3 Ultra: with all the reports of people having problems with it with X and Y, and lots of RMA that seem to happen, I'm thinking about going with another brand instead. Which really sucks because I always had good cards with EVGA, but they seemed to have rushed the QA side maybe for the cards this gen?

Anyway I'm keeping my place in line for the card here (Sept 22nd 6:00am for the 3080 FTW3 Ultra) but also keeping a close eye on the Asus ROG Strix version of the 3080 on Newegg here. Whichever happens first I guess, but I'm having some serious doubt about EVGA quality for this gen... :(

Summary

As Tuesday comes to a close, it was a day noteworthy for a few straggler cards being distributed in the following lines (that had significant drops on Monday): 3090, 3080 and 3070 Ultras, and the 3080 XC3 Black.

Some longtime contributors to this thread secured cards today and are busy lighting candles for their local UPS drivers.  Again, congratulations!!!

Finally, those of us who are approaching the infamous “bubble” between being in the next drop or not…should once again be confirming that EVGA is whitelisted in their preferred email client.

With that, the North American queues stand approximately here (bold font denotes movement from Monday):

* Please note that there is an additional report of a 9:43:00 am registrant receiving an invite to purchase email.  This may be an erroneous entry so, until more reports confirm that progress, I have gone with the more conservative time stamp above.

May the middle of the week bring early morning drops (so those lucky ducks can complete their orders before the daily shipping cutoff (likely around 2 or 3 pm) to facilitate a pre-weekend delivery). Once you receive your “invite to purchase” email, if you have a moment, please report back to the thread with your card model and original date/time stamp (it is really helpful to those of who remain on our watch).

Have a great night (away from your inboxes).  Happy hunting on Wednesday!

If that report was true, I got leapfrogged! My notifies page remains yes free and my inbox is bare of any emails from EVGA.

Does anyone happen to know? Are the 3090 Hybrids still tracking for being available the first week of December?

It's getting close to decision time.  I'm currently sitting here for my 3090 air, but am leaning towards getting the hybrid instead.

... if you got in notify queue for the Hybrid cards in the tiny window they had it open, your card will ship on release day, pretty sure that's exactly what Jacob said.

Luckily 3070 will come to me soon, so will wait 3080Ti.
Good luck with Strix availability.

I would remind you that what we see on these tech-support-heavy forums are but a small sample of how many cards are actually out there, and the majority of people that post are going to be posting because of issues, most people NOT having issues aren't going to take the time to post "hey my card is working great", because that's what everyone EXPECTS the card to do, to be fair.

Personally, I've had my 3080 FTW3 Ultra since the second week of October & have not had a single issue, but I know full well there have been batches with a much-higher-than acceptable failure rate since then, at least it seems that way, however, there is no way to know how many of these are actually bad cards, and how many of them are possibly people's systems being inadequate for how CHONKI these cards are when it comes to power requirements.

You also have to remember that eVGA is taking good care of the people that are having issues, the RMA process is pretty fast, and free, unless you want to pay for Advanced RMA (which I do recommend if you're planning on keeping the card for more than 2 years, as it will allow you to get in a replacement before sending your card in if it ever does need RMAing, which streamlines the process, and it's only like $40 for that peace of mind).

The majority of people we see getting 2-3 cards in a row that all die, I do suspect it's at least partly their system that is actually the problem, I find it incredibly hard to believe that eVGA has THAT many cards that are dying that fast.

For the 3070 specifically, I don't think we've heard anything about failures yet... but, that's also a completely different PCB from what I understand.  The 3080 and 3090 (specifically the FTW3 Ultra) I think share the same PCB?  So that would explain why they're having a similarly oddly-high/abnormal failure rate around the same batch/timing as eachother.

They keep dropping a ton of 3090s on Newegg.ca daily here in Canada (since nobody want to buy these overpriced cards) and often see 3070s too (they sell out quick) but we didn't see ANY 3080s drop on the site for almost 3 weeks now, nothing at all and confirmed by multiple sources (and bots watching and reporting on Twitter).

If anyone wants to remove all my listings on the notification spreadsheet they can. I have removed all my notifications. I was keeping the 3080 Ultra just in case the 3090 I received didn't work out (naive I know:-)

FYI - I do not like the COD Black Ops game I got free with my card that was ordered on the Oct 27. I like the free Warzone game that I have been playing all along but not Black Ops. The larger map on Warzone is better in my opinion. Who knows maybe eventually it will grow on me but just wish I had received the original game that was advertised with the card. Not too happy with Nvidia for screwing me out of it.

i mean at least you have a card. I'd be more than happy to dislike a free game and have a card, then to not have one at all.

I am not sure if I am really getting the 240hz refresh rate shown in the graphics setting but Warzone is letting me set all graphic settings to the max. I am using 2560 X 1440 resolution on a Samsung Odyssey G7 32" monitor connected to the 3090 FTW3 Ultra. How can I tell if I am actually getting a 240hz refresh rate shown in the games setting? Though I am not overclocking this video card I am impressed by how cool it stays. However I am having higher temps on my CPU and had to adjust the fan speeds up on the watercooler. I am using an overclocked Intel 5930k cpu.

Thanks and I will try it. I may not have given the game enough time but Warzone hooked me the first time I played it.

Download MSI afterburner and have it monitor your FPS on an overlay. My guess would be you are not getting a stable 240, and you probably even have limited FPS based on your CPU. 240 is really hard to push.

You can also enable an FPS counter in the game settings which will tell you instantaneous  FPS. But afterburner can be set up to show averages, 1% lows, etc etc

Good luck! Warzone is a blast.

Well that would be the glass half full kind of attitude The only reason I am here is I wanted to remove all my notifications and ask if anyone else knew how I could verify the 240hz refresh rate. My old card and monitor would not let me exceed 1920 X 1080 60hz I guess due to hardware limitations. So the settings in Warzone might just be tied to the max hardware limits and not actually what the game is getting. Either way though it looks pretty good. My vision is not what it was when I was younger so I need all the help I can get

Install Afterburner or use Precision X1 with OSD enabled & see if your FPS rate caps out at 240FPS... pretty sure that card even with the dated CPU will hit more than that easily in a game this easy to run at regular 1440p.

How can I tell if I am actually getting a 240hz refresh rate shown in the games setting?

Download MSI afterburner and have it monitor your FPS on an overlay. My guess would be you are not getting a stable 240, and you probably even have limited FPS based on your CPU. 240 is really hard to push.
You can also enable an FPS counter in the game settings which will tell you instantaneous  FPS. But afterburner can be set up to show averages, 1% lows, etc etc
Good luck! Warzone is a blast.

I will try it. I am not going to buy another motherboard and processor until PCIe 4.0 becomes available. In my opinion it would be a waste of money until the new standard is available. Hopefully they become available next year but I have not read up on the subject.

In warzone settings, I believe in the General tab, you can enable a FPS counter which will display your FPS in the top left corner of your screen.

Totally agree. If I'm you, I don't really care whether I am averaging 180 fps or 240 fps, I'm just enjoying the games at that point while your 3090 hums away in your system. No need to upgrade parts unless the experience you're getting isn't what you are looking for.

Back on topic - I'm rooting for some 3070 FTW Ultra movement today!

If that report was true, I got leapfrogged! My notifies page remains yes free and my inbox is bare of any emails from EVGA.

spare a thought for your european cousins who see this on their notifies **PLEASE NOTE**
EVGA Staff and Customer Service do not have access to queue positions or estimated times for your notifies and as such, would not be able to give you that information via phone or email.

Over the last few weeks, several members of this thread have expressed disappointment and solidarity with our EU peers over the lack of units making their way to your shores.  We celebrated the start of the queue process in the EU.  We, too, don't have official means to identify queue positions...we have crowdsourced it through makeshift spreadsheets, reports back to forum threads, searching reddit posts and discord channels.

Going forward, I hope the volume and cadence of drops for EU increases dramatically and that EVGA cards start flowing to Europeans gamers as they have done so here.  Best of luck!

In general, I agree with Dabadger84.  EVGA seems to have done a better job getting their cards into the hands of consumers this cycle.  If that is true -- which I believe it to be -- then they can still have the same error rates as their peer AIBs and yet have more reports overall.  Additionally, the tech-support-heavy forums tend to over-index on RMA issues and complaints...which is one of their main uses between launch events, etc. etc.

Finally, I am a big believer in EVGA's superlative RMA procedures and overall customer service team.

I remain a fan.

I can appreciate what you are saying. I am a big fan of battle royales and they have taken some of my shooter genre attention away from more traditional games.  Have you tried PUBG?  With respect to COD Cold War, I would not be surprised if by the Spring of 2021, they haven't taken some maps or other aspects of Cold War and incorporated them into Warzone.  After all, Warzone launched in the Spring as a free mode and it will be (is) due for an update.  [Also, I was never a fan of Watch Dogs.]  I hope your card continues to bring you gaming joy!

Oy.  I was willing to buy a 6800XT today if it was available, best I could do was get a 6800 in cart and then a non-functioning cart.  Glad in a way since I did not want a 6800, performance is too low for me although I am fine doing without RT.

This is ridiculous.  At this rate I'm not getting a card until 2021, I have never had such a hard time spending $700 in my life.  I didn't bother doing immediate notifications on the cards since I know typically that's useless so my dates suck - 9/20 for the XC3U which is moving the fastest of the queues I am in (I need the shorter XC3 card) and 9/18 on the Black.

Sorry just need to vent a bit!

Oh I feel ya.  I'm going to remain at about 99% NaCl content until I get in queue for a Hybrid card with the crap they pulled on those.
