I dont remember if I did auto notify yet. I figured I would wait for Hybrid or Hydro Copper versions. Am I screwed?

Yes, don't do that. And if there the same link(hopefully not). That would be a mess.

*REMOVED LANGUAGE* I cant remember if I clicked "notify" for the XC3 when I now want the FTW3....

It's also a little *REMOVED LANGUAGE* that we had to read a tweet from 1 guy that sends us to a forum to tell us how the new system works and there isn't a notification on the site that we have been manually refreshing daily/hourly. Not cool. It's cool how this is implemented, but not putting something on the site itself where we monitor is kind of messed up.

Follow the TOS or lose the ability to post on our forums. Thank you.

so far you're the first person to confirm getting an email. when did you sign up for notifications?

I signed up for Auto notify as soon as the 3080 showed up on the EVGA website.  I love the look of the FTW cards.  That RGB thing at the top is so interesting to me.

Interesting that the email says you have 5 hours from the time "you receive the email" instead of 5 hours from the timestamp the email was sent from our system. There is no way they know when an individual "receives" the email. And what does "receive" mean? That could be interpreted to mean when the user reads the email which could be hours after the email is actually sent from their system. This is why I think 5 hours is too short. It should be 12, half a day to cover their bases.

I wish I knew if I setup the auto-notify for EVGA's site. I know I did for newegg. Is there a way to check and see if I did?

No. I am pretty sure I did some time ago on the 3090 FTW3 Ultra, but can not say for sure so I signed up for it again this morning to be safe.

Oh man, I have the EVGA site open every day (along with a bunch of others), hoping to get a 3080, but I never signed up for notifications before. Previous experience has shown that those notification emails are usually too late to make a difference, so I figured why bother... if only I had known they would be doing this!

MMJ, I think they covered that.  You go back into the queue if you miss your window.  I think 5 hours is actually fairly generous, tbh.  Since they said that they arent going to be doing these at night, it should be plenty of time.

Based on my browser history timestamp the first time I clicked on a 3080 FTW3 Ultra was 9/17/2020 at 12:52PM eastern time. So I probably clicked notify me at that time would be my best guess. Looks like I looked at the ultra first then on the 23rd looked at the FTW3.

I have two EVGA accounts by accident, this one I'm posting on is a really old one I forgot I owned and I have another newer one made last year. I have signed up for notification emails on 30 series last month to both emails however, just to have redundancy for email notifications. This isn't going to disqualify me for the queue system is it?

EVGA_JacobF
We have made some changes to the checkout process for EVGA.com 30 Series orders. Now we are using a queue based notification system.

To sign up, use the notification button on the product you would like to be notified for. For everyone who already used the notify button previously, you are already entered. Once product is available (and it is your turn to purchase), you will receive a secure email that will allow you to purchase the product that you received a notification for. Please note that you have 5 hours to place your order, if your order is not complete within 5 hours, the product will be released back into queue system.

Also note that your email address that was used for the notify system MUST MATCH an email that has a registered EVGA account, if an account is not available with that email, you will need to create one before you can purchase.

Also note that this system will be available for US store first and evaluating for other regions.

Thanks
EVGA

should we hope that from now on most of the stock will be available through the evga store and not too many cards will be sent to retailers?

Well I got the email that I could buy one. So my window was 1:45am to 6:45am. So basically the only time I was sleeping. Nice @EVGA. How do I get back on the list and hopefully get a daytime email?

Is this going to be the time these emails are sent out? They will definitely be missed by people sleeping. Especially on the east coast. Why not during EVGA business hours only?

Apparently somewhere buried in this thread Jacob said they will only be doing Business hours soon.  You might have to dig to find it.

Is this fully separate from newegg? Do they get restocked separately, or  is it the same stock?

OK folks... Remember... EVGA "IS" going to continue to supply their regular authorized retailers per their agreements, while they fulfill this commitment on their own site.

One does not replace the other. We still have to be patient with supply, regardless where you plan to make your purchase.

Yes I know what it means, it actually is the time stamp that gmail or whatever acknowledges receipt of the email. And actually now that I'm thinking about it I don't think they could know that. They only know when it left their system OR if there was a delivery failure, but they don't actually know when it got to its destination. So they must be using the send time from their server which could cause issues if there are delays for some reason in the receiving system processing and sending the email to the user. The receiving server does not need to report back that it got something.
