The point is for a company based on customer service. ****ing someone out of their product is **** customer service. I will not recommend EVGA to any of my friends if I do not at least get my queues fixed. I already had a 20 series card die on me once and had to go through best buy to have the damn thing replaced because they were trying to charge me for a card less than 1 day old for RMA.

What's the point of trying to buy from a company know for customer service and paying a premium if you aren't going to get said customer service.

The warning email went out a month ago. The changes took effect three weeks ago. It's now a new month. If there were any chance that they'd help you it would've been right as the changes took effect. Not this long after. They're not going to continue changing everyone's notifies for failing to make adequate adjustments. They put a complete disclaimer right on the notify page stating that the staff is not able to make changes to the notifies.

I still stand by the fact they did not say you could not re-enter a queue you were already in. Why are they still there but inactive and not deleted if they didn't want us to do so. What is the point of leaving them there then? And I have not gotten a card yet if that's what anyone thinks. That's the entire problem I had 2 active SKUs and 2 dead SKUs which I did not know were dead until after they closed out my queues. EVGA does not tell you what cards are not in production are and what are. If the card was still in production fine by me. But since they are not being made why am I being made wait for something that will never come when I already had the option to get one that is still being made especially when I have to research through outside sources to even tell if they are being made. It does not make sense from a PR perspective.

You are telling me you have never missed an email or read and email and been like I don't have time for that now so I'll skim through it and fix it later then forgot about it because you had a crazy day/week and just want to sleep after work and your thoughts are about getting through work the next day. Talk about no empathy for other people. I literally have exactly 4 cards in my queues. 2 of which are dead and active 2 of which are in production and deactive. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to delete my old queues and reactivate the ones the I can actually buy.

I am not going to buy a scalped to hell card hence I joined the queues. I am not buying a 3080 for the same price as a 3080 TI or a 3080TI for the same price as a 3090 especially when the retailers themselves are raising prices on top of everything else.

I'm not feeling that bad for people who didn't stay on top of this. This is something that people queued for the better part of a year or longer have been waiting for. You'd think it would be monitored better. Also, I only queued for the one card that I truly wanted. The queues closed then we were abruptly told of shortages for most cards except for ultras. So I'm one of the many people holding onto hope that I'll still get the card I queued for. But, I haven't been complaining one bit. Honestly, you being queued is your responsibility to keep track of. If EVGA were to make an exception for you, then they'd have to change everyone's who's in the same situation. They gave their warning. They put up their disclaimer. Period

Are some SKUs really dead or are they asleep?

Only EVGA knows this, but if it is dead it should give an alternative to those who are waiting.

There is no reason to buy something from EVGA again.

So you got the email with strongly worded suggestions on which queues to stay in and … had to look to outside sources?
And you bought a card at Best Buy that needed an RMA but are mad because it was cheaper (and easier and quicker) to exchange it at BB than to use the RMA process.
And if EVGA doesn’t make an exception for you (AND ONLY YOU) then you’ll bad mouth them to everyone.
Got it! 👍

You can get your card elsewhere. While you were typing all this adorama actually just had the 3080ti FTW3 in stock at msrp. Out of stock now tho. Stop being so negative and entitled. I don't use the block feature much but you are getting pretty annoying.

It's not being entitled at all. It's being right or wrong. You can disagree with my situation, but that doesn't change the fact that I am in the right. Saying the queues are closing implies that those already in them are allowed to stay in them until they get a card or the card is no longer made. Not deleting the old ones implies you are still in them and can still buy a card. I did not join a queue just to have to watch for every card that comes onto the market and fight for it. I just wanted to wait in line for my card and be done with it. I am morally in the right here for at least to be in 1 queue (I legit would take that over being in the equivalent of 0) that I am able to buy a card from when I signed up for a queue to be notified of when I can buy a card. It's one thing if all the 3080 models and SKUs were being discontinued. But to not even offer when you are discontinuing a SKU to join another one has no excuse other than we can no longer make or sell anymore of a similar card. If there were no other 3080s I could be upset and but at least shrug it off because no one else is getting it either. I literally want a single card and that's it. I only signed up for multiple for more chances because of them possible shifting production like this.

I literally bought my 2080 because the market was so terrible last time Crypto mining was so big. And now I am being ****ed yet again the second time. OFC I am going to be upset when literally being screwed for the second time.

The thing is EVGA knows what they are doing is wrong hence they won't even talk about it. If you truly cared and were open to feedback you would talk instead of copy pasting answers. They are just doing it to distance themselves because they are already in a PR nightmare by shutting off the queues to begin with. The only reason they can get away with it is the demand is so high that they are going to sell out regardless of public opinion.

When I have chosen only one graphics card and EVGA decides to stop production it would be right to give me the choice of another graphics card as it did with the LHR

There are many people who have only one graphics card on their list and are waiting for months for only one graphics card is not it unfair the only SKU they are waiting to be dead?

There is no reason to buy something from EVGA again.

Go to the very first page of this forum thread and read Jacob's post. It explains the changes in complete detail. Complaining to other consumers that have been waiting just as long that had no problem complying with the changes will get you no sympathy.

Got it! 👍

No, everyone who is in a dead SKU should be allowed to leave the dead SKU and join another one. Period. It's literal common sense and good business practice. It keeps people happier than being lied to and ignored.

If you aren't making something anymore tell someone, "Hey, sorry we are no longer producing that anymore, so you can choose to try for this other product if you want." Don't go "This product isn't going to be made as much anymore, so you should join this other one because it should be faster (which I did BTW but one of my SKUs was not given that option)" and then stop making it completely. You legit give false hope that you even have a chance to get it. Wording is very important as when you aren't having an open discussion your words are the only thing that can be judged off of.

Plus I have known people to be allowed back into the queues when having dead SKUs. And you can't hide that there haven't been people when people have mentioned it as well.

Now if someone who wasn't in a queue at all wants to join in the queue or has already gotten a card. I would say no. But legit people that were already in it to begin and has not gotten a card at all should be allowed to change queues voluntarily until they get their first card as long they were in the queue before it was closed. I am not being unreasonable here. I legit just want to be in a queue that actually has a chance at a card instead of one that I might as well pretend doesn't exist because I am better off waiting on an RTX 40 series.

You waited to long to ask. When they implemented the changes they gave their suggestions for what cards to queue for. All your complaints are things they have done. Again this is your fault for not staying on top of monitoring the queues. Have a good day!

EVGA_JacobF

Update 10/5/2021
Everyone,

As we continue to monitor the queue to get cards to gamers sooner, we appreciate all the feedback to help us to improve the queue system.

Due to the overwhelming demand for the 30 Series Products, our first step was to close the notify queue until we can fulfill them. Management team then took an extra step to prioritize those that have not received a card versus others who have been able to get multiple GPU’s.

After reading the feedback, there were legitimate concerns about retroactively changing the queue function. We are sorry for any frustration this caused, this was not the company’s intention. Today we are going to make the following updates:

1.    The queue system will be rolled back to the previous rule.
  • Anyone who missed a card from Monday, October 4th, will be notified on the next release.
  • EVGA will continue to send notifies through October 8th.
2.    In order to get cards to gamers sooner, please go to the notify page at https://www.evga.com/community/myNotifies.asp and keep only the top two cards selected that you would like to purchase, and remove the others.
  • On October 11th, 2021, the system will only lookup and send notifies based on your two oldest entries.
  • Going forward, the queue system will only allow for two 30 Series notifies on the current lineup.
  • EVGA strongly suggests to keep the FTW3 ULTRA or XC3 ULTRA models due to consistent supply compared to limited supply on K|NGP|N, HYDRO COPPER and HYBRID due to supply constraints.
  • EVGA is also going to be adding SMS verification to the checkout process for all notifications to catch bot orders.
3.    The queue system will not be turned back on until the current queues are fulfilled.
4.    The checkout window is 20 hours from the time of notification released.

EVGA appreciates your feedback to continue improving the queue system to deliver 30 Series cards into as many gamers hands as possible.

Thanks
EVGA

No, where does it state that you cannot change your cards. It also does not say you cannot delete cards to be put into different queues. It also does not state that you are not allowed to have them manually changed. The only place it says it cannot be manually changed is when you go to the actual web page to change your cards. So that in itself is false advertisement. It just says that your oldest cards will be used which implies if you remove them your next oldest will be active. It does not say a date that you will no longer be able to remove cards from your list just a date at which the oldest cards will be used.

This is the same text in the email. So going off anything other than this is a lack of a communication and should be rectified at the very least in an email to all people in the queues.

**PLEASE NOTE**
As of October 11th, 2021. EVGA allows only two active 30 Series product notifications. If more than two 30 Series product notifications existed prior to 10/11/2021, the notification system will only recognize the two oldest product notifications based on the date/time requested, as indicated with an Active status. ***It is no longer possible to change or delete notifies. EVGA Staff does not have the ability to change notify products.***

If you are in an automated queue that has been updating you via email, why would you go to the page itself for updates when they should have told you that.

Or IDK maybe I am just used to working customer service for years, but at the very least we should have been told that you will no longer be able to modify your current queues past a certain date instead of just removing access to it and not saying a word. Am I supposed to check my email and the web page every damn day because you can't have the common curtesy to tell me when something is changing and not sneak it into somewhere I wouldn't be looking for it and would assume you would tell me everything I needed to know in the email you sent to me so I know how urgent it is that I have to do something. Saying queues are disabled doesn't give me any kind of urgency when you don't tell me that you will also remove the ability to modify your queues.

Sorry about your situation man. It sucks. I just want to say though that most here check their emails and the EVGA website daily because it means that much to them to get a card. Some things are more important to others while some things are less important. That's ok but there are consequences to those things in life that we pay less attention to. It sounds to me like getting a graphics card is not important enough for you check your email everyday. I'd say that's the reason you don't have one already more so than anything EVGA has done.

Ok salt out. Hope we get a big camel day tomorrow! Good luck all :)

I do watch my email but the reason that email didn’t mean anything to me is it conveyed no sense of urgency to do anything. I guarantee you I saw it on my 30 minute break and was ok, I will worry about that later because there isn’t a deadline and it got busy after that. Therefore I completely forgot the email until this week. I went to fix my issues and saw that I could not and the email said nothing about a deadline to fix issues just a date for a change to only watching for the 2 oldest cards. The only place that lists the change is on the website itself which any normal person would assume had the same info that was emailed to them.

I am more upset that I basically wasted a year of waiting to be told we told you so, but the important part was left out when I was told and then ignored when I go “Wait but that’s not what I was told”

This is the same text in the email. So going off anything other than this is a lack of a communication and should be rectified at the very least in an email to all people in the queues.

It also does not say that you cannot demand that the specific unit of card that you purchase shroud be made exclusively in white just for you.

I am sorry, but the salt water in me...it boils over.

EVGA shut down the additional registrations. (You had up to a year to register for the SKUs you wanted to consider purchasing.) Then EVGA announced a system to get a card into existing queue members that did not already have at least one card from the queue. That approach had unintended consequences that disadvantaged a lot of folks that had come to rely on the original approach of no more than one unit per sku (but that a purchase of one sku wouldn't preclude the ability to buy a different sku when your registration came up).

So the next day or so, EDGA rolled back the announcement and said that they were limiting everybody to two queues going forward (starting in approximately one week). They explained in their post that on the 11th the system would only consider your two oldest skus unless you had actively reduced to no more than two remaining queues as they were requesting. They sent an email to everybody that had more than two active queues. They dispatched their in-forum CS leads to answer questions (I've never seen them more active in the forums, for what it is worth). They talked about it on their Twitch live streams. The had a standalone webpage on their website about it. In my opinion, EVGA did what they could to get the message out.

But, to be clear, folks have never been allowed to change queues from one to another and all of the rest of the stuff you are going on about. EVGA gave us a date. October 11. To allow folks to switch and move stuff, delete stuff beyond their stated deadline would allow folks to game the system..."oh, SKU 3XXX is moving faster than SKU 3YYY, I am going to move to that one."  "Oh, I made a mistake and picked the wrong SKU, I am going to now switch to the queue that has already passed my registration date and claim that I missed my email and that they should send me a new one."

Tadpole poop.

EVGA created a queue system in the middle of a tech launch debacle. They have done what they can to make it fair and equitable. A year on (frankly anytime), they are allowed to tweak it to try improve it....

While I have some sympathy for your position, that feeling is fleeting given the attitude and approach you've taken your posts. I hope you secure your card soon -- sounds like Best Buy, MicroCenter or NewEgg might be a better bet than the queues.  One thing I know for sure, carrying on in this thread as you have...it isn't getting you any closer to the 30 series gaming goodness that you seek. Best of luck!

Re: EVGA.com 30 Series Queue System 2021/11/02 16:25:34 (permalink)
You can vent all you want, but at the end of the day your choices have placed your queue spots where you are at and only because of them.  First off, you can say what the guidelines are and what they aren't either.  EVGA has the right to change those based on their needs and the direction they wish to go in.  Users here are fortunate to even have a queue system to get a chance to purchase a gpu at retail without having to fight bots or stay overnight at a bestbuy or microcenter.  I feel for you, but if that's the line you stood in all this time without registering for others or checking in from time to time on either your emails or on the forums then that's unfortunately on you.  There are so many others who have been waiting and following trying to get the opportunity to purchase their gpus from the queues.  They followed the forums, followed the emails when they got them, researched the issues, and made their decisions about which queues to be in.  The emails about the switch to LHRs was very clear and instructive about changing back to a non-LHR gpu and the risks involved.  The emails about the two queue spots was also sent out and was clear.  They gave a deadline to remove all queue spots other than the two you wanted.

I missed out on the 3080 TI FTW3 because I didn't research my dates well enough and thought it would take longer to get that verse the 3070 TI FTW3.  I could do with either, but I deleted the 3080TI FTW3 because I thought it would take longer for that one to come through.  Now that it moved so much, should I be entitled to change it back so I can purchase that card since they are now past my original sign up date/time?  I choose the line to stand in, it's my choice so it's on me.  If you didn't respond to the email or read it, it's on you.

If you feel that strongly that you have been treated poorly, you can go to other companies and try their products.  There are many companies out there that would be more than happy to take your money in exchange for a gpu right?  You can go into their queues and wait or spend the night at the microcenters/bestbuys or trying the shuffle to get one.  It's your right to take your money elsewhere and no one is making you stay here either.  EVGA has done much more than just about every other AIB trying to get gpus into the normal consumer hands at a reasonable cost.  Even when the costs went up, they allowed those in the queues who were able to complete their purchase at the previous price if they were able to complete their purchase by the deadline they imposed.

Best of luck waiting for the queues at ASUS, MSI, or Gigabyte for a gpu.  Wait, I forgot they don't even have one.

Exactly.

I personally put a lot of time in. I was up early for notify sign up days, had alarms set for probable Best Buy and AMD drop days, etc. I don't even know how many cards (and two Xbox X's) I managed and forwarded on to my nerd circle of F&F (making zero dollars profit thank you very much), but it was a handful. Why? Because I took the effort to learn the system, track things, and spent my time and effort following through. If you 'have more important things to do than camp for online drops and keep track of EVGA notify sign ups' then you're not going to be successful at either and should probably just go buy a scalped card or a nice gaming laptop.

If someone has designated themselves as the queue keeper, he probably shouldn't block users for personal reasons to collect all possible data.

Wow my good sir, you have proven herpetology assumptions of the newt typical life span all wrong.

My first was a Tandy TRS80 II that I programmed an artillery game and chess notation game on. Played Defender and Pitfall on an Atari 2600. Started playing Prince of Persia (1989) on a Tandy 286. Those were the good ol' days. I do get nostalgic even today though and invariably end up playing the first Diablo or even Splinter Cell. Still have the boxes and CDs even. Which, I guess that's the main reason I haven't given up on my internal CD ROM drive. LOL! Now if I can just get Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow going.....

Have a good one sir and thanks for all your hard work!

Wow.....I really do miss Choplifter. Dumped many a quarter into the standup at the arcade and I really wish there was a decent PC version. Another quarter eater was DigDug and Gauntlet. I also forgot about playing Lemmings on PC....that was fun.
