3080ti Hybrid VRM Fan Replacement

My VRM fan failed after two months. I’ve already sent it back under an RMA, but I’m just curious can we replace that fan ourselves, especially considering the fans EVGA are using don’t seem to be very reliable?  Does Noctua, for example, make a VRM replacement fan?  Is it possible and/or has anyone tried this?

    finding a fan with the correct or adaptable mount & correct plug - that is not OEM might prove near impossible
     
    you might be able to make something work, with enough creativity & research

    As Cool GTX stated, finding one the correct specs may be difficult. Swapping the fans themselves does not void the warranty(provided you can easily put the OEM fan back on), however if you were to damage the card in the process of doing so that would change things. You would also need to keep the OEM fan handy should you need to RMA in the future as we would also need to receive the product in factory specifications.

    Well my replacement arrived yesterday.  I opened it and discovered that it isn't new, or at least it doesn't look new.  It arrived in a non-descript box (the interior box that is found in the retail version) and there was no PCI pin protector.
     
    Are RMA's just the repairs of other RMAs?
     
    I haven't installed it yet, but I will later this weekend.  I hope it's ok...

    Outside of the 30day initial purchase window, most RMAs are swapped with refurbished product unless they don't have any on hand.

    as mentioned in the Warranty Terms  ... that is a reconditioned card
