Anybody trying to get a Steam Deck reservation and striking out in the F5 game? My bad luck continues....
Got through at 12:13 CT
I got through around 10:20 am PT. I don't even know if I want it, but I figure holding my place in line is worth a Starbuck's coffee.
Just getting it for my son, looks better than the Switch.

Pray tell, what is a steam deck?
On other news, the work laptop (Alienware with rtx 3080) I have was barely 5 weeks old when its motherboard desired to go to the great beyond where dead motherboards go and stopped detecting the power adaptor.
Since the battery included with those laptops are slightly better than four AA batteries, we barely had enough time to properly check what might be wrong, and had to call Dell for service.
They sent someone, got the motherboard replaced and left. Straightaway none of the led lights were working, which is good in a business environment, but still having them broken was not the way I intended to turn them off you know? And then I noticed the USB port (1 of 3) was not working either!
Anothe hour+ on the phone and they’re “rushing” parts out for “next day” service. Finally, 3 days after the second phone call there’s someone to service it, hence one of my rare “nothing to do” moment at work.
On queue related business, I can tell you the more I keep eating, the more I appreciate the kindness of another member passing his notified card to me (memory cleanse he got two notification within 3-4 days and 2nd notification being his preferred one he passed the first to me). A card which, I might add I’m perfectly happy to keep till next generation rolls and even some more.
I was so naive (even after months and months on the queues), that I thought I was sure to get a card within several weeks (I had queued at 40 seconds after opening).
Needless to say, exactly 3 months and 2 days after that queue’s opening, I’m still 12 seconds out.
Despite all this, the queue works. The fact that I’m here, comfortable sitting at my chair, not having to camp out with the knowledge “a” card will be available at some point.

Apparently the Kingpin which was supposed to arrive after 5PM when I would be home, was delivered already and my wife signed for it. So, I might be in a bit of trouble when I get home, since I haven't sold the other 3090 yet

My wife just told me that we should keep the other 3090 just in case something goes wrong with our other cards. I don't know who this woman impersonating my wife is, but I'm keeping her.
I suppose I could try having it act as the physx card LOL.
But, yeah, no. I ain't sitting on $2k
