Yep, she is a keeper!

Hi guys, I am 11 minutes away from 3080 TI XC3 gaming and have a coupon valid until Sept 10th. Do you guys think I will have a chance to actually use this coupon based on your experience with queue movement?

My Kingpin is currently hiding under my desk in the shipping box. I bench tested it and it went right back into the box for now until I figure out what I'm going to do. Maybe I should have my girlfriend go over and hang out with your wife so your wife can rub off on her. I always thought what she doesn't know wont hurt me. Enjoy your new card and have a great weekend.

Cool man! I got one of the new PSUs and love it, I think there are a lot of the classic upper end PSU that are not comming back, I heard something about them revamping many of the PSUs / getting rid of the super flower partnership? just guessing. Almost everything over 850w has been OOS since November and all the old stock was sold through other retailers. On a side note as another point of relief, EBAY prices Keep falling, there is no way to make money on the 3080TI right now, I am thinking if these lines start moving they will go to real people who want to use the card. That will be huge for availability.

Got my 3080 FTW Hybrid the other day and boyyy is it quiet and even after a couple of Heaven benchmark runs it stayed at 60 C. No problems so far with a EVGA G3 750W PSU either (was worried about that). Also managed to hide the radiator in the back section of my case (Lian Lian Li Dynamic XL).

i have to be honest i had a 850watt gold psu.it was not enough for the 3090ftw3 ultra with a cpu and gpu overclock.was playing days gone and kicked up the rendering and the power peeks went over the 850watts and shut down the psu.if your not OCing you'll be fine other wise i highly recommend 1000watt or better.i bought a 1200watt platnium.(cpu i9 9900k @5.2GHz)

Have to agree with Guydodge. I have a beefy system pulling 890 watts under load, but even my wife's system (10900K, 3080Ti Hybrid regularly gets to 700 watts during gaming. I've always tried to keep my draw at 75% of max to maximize efficiency and avoid potential failures. The new P+ PSUs from EVGA look promising, or the SuperFlower PSUs are also good and relatively inexpensive.

I would hope the big sell off in China will result in improve stock over here at some point. I’d think the world demand would drop significantly.

China’s demand would drop, not the world. In the U.S., people know prices are dropping yet everything is constantly out of stock the moment they drop. Even the overpriced 3080 TIs are out of stock

Well China is part of the world and if there are buyers there that are no longer looking for a GPU that would mean somebody else in the world can buy it instead. Also with there being huge lots being sold I would guess some will be resold to other locations in the world. Overall that’s going to have a trickle down effect on demand

Who knows. This card is having issues right now. Hopefully EVGA has stopped shipment of them until they find out the issue. https://forums.evga.com/3080-Ti-XC3-Ultra-Hydro-Copper-low-power-consumption-hidden-power-cap-m3408367.aspx
I thought that was just the hybrids? Is it all the XC3 models? He seemed to be asking about the 3953 SKU. I'm damn near up for one and I'd hate to run into those problems. Rev00

Large Chinese mining operations are the biggest reason you can't buy a GPU. However, even though China has banned crypto mining, not all of them are closing up shop. Some are, but a lot are simply moving. There was a large falloff in hash rate on the ETH network, but it's coming back up. So, don't expect what went down in China to have a huge effect on prices yet. They're going to have to flood the used market with GPU's for that to really happen in a big way. While the prices have dropped on a lot of cards, more so on used cards, some are still selling at stupid prices. The 3060 Ti sells for about the same, or a little more than the 3070, which shows people in the U.S. are still mining, and there are people that are still trying to get in on the mining craze. Saw a picture of a guy that just put together a mining rig with a ton of FTW3 3090's. Jokes on him though, it's a stupid card to build a mining rig out of and he'll never see the return on investment with constant profitability drops towards the inevitable ETH 2.0 changeover. Let the people spend stupid amounts of money on cards right now. The praise of low GPU prices I think are premature, but these people that are still fueling the costs aren't going to have a good go of it. I doubt they'll see the money back they paid on hardware before the party is over. Most of the reason prices have dropped some are the fact that large mining operations aren't buying GPU's at the level they were, because they know this is coming. However, once these large mining operations stop, regardless of where they're located, and they flood the used market... prices will tank.

miners bought nearly 25% of the stock in first qtr, now for rest of the year that percentage of stock will go to rest of consumers. Even now we can see that stock is present with retailers & scalpers but they are still sticking to inflated prices. Those who sell early will be smart guys , those who dont will be left holding the bag. It is just a matter of time.

I wouldn’t be surprised if people are mining with LHR cards. After all, it’s “low has rate” and not “not hash rate.”

Yes as there are more coins than Eth and they work fine for other coins. In the mean time I wonder if the kingpin hydro will move some today. My goal is to get the hydro copper kingpin and trade it for a hybrid kingpin. I am 139 on the list for it.

Honestly that wouldn't even be that bad. I guess it's all about WHO is mining with them. If a mining farm's using them then that's a problem ofc, there will be close to none left for us, but if you and me mine on the side while we're not gaming (while we're at work, or at night and so on) to make back some of the cost of the card then that's great.
